Liliana’s Point of View

My husband looked at me with concern, his hand gently holding mine in a tight grip. His eyes reflected unease about my decision, but I was firm in it. This was between me and Jessica—even if she didn’t recognize me now. Back then, I was nothing but a nerd in their eyes, someone invisible and unimpressive. None of them had ever seen my real face.

“Wife,” Asher called softly.

I turned to him and smiled before pressing a quick kiss to his lips. The gesture surprised him—I could tell by the way his eyes widened. Maybe that was the first time I’d ever kissed him like that on the lips.

“Relax,” I whispered. “I know you’re good at teaching, and I learn quickly. I wouldn’t be a high-salary employee if I wasn’t smart.”

He stared into my eyes, and after a moment, he exhaled a long breath and gave me a slow nod.

“Alright, you’re allowed five minutes for some quick instruction,” he said gently.

I smiled at him as he began showing me the basics—how to hold the gun, where to

  • My Contracted Husband Is My Boss (Eng Ver.)   Chapter 55

Liliana’s Point of ViewWe were now inside the large gym here at the resort, where our departments were competing against each other. Actually, the games were already ongoing, and today was the final round for both basketball and volleyball.Whoever wins would receive a prize for their department and a full-year bonus. Pretty exciting, right?Everyone was cheering now inside the gym since all the employees were gathered here.“Okay, welcome everyone! I won’t take much of your time—let’s welcome... the Red Team!”Our group was called, and the crowd went wild. The loudest voice among them was Mirabelle’s, although I had no idea who she was cheering for exactly. She was part of our so-called cheerleaders, wearing a skirt along with four other girls. Of course, I didn’t join them. No way I’d wear something like that where my butt might show.“Go, go, Red Team!”“Okay, and now, the next team is the Executive Team, the Blue Team!”“Yohooo!”The cheers only got louder, especially when Asher

Third Person’s Point of ViewGerald furrowed his brows as he heard Liliana's laughter echoing from the direction of a nearby tent. Anxiety twisted in his stomach because that particular tent belonged to the CEO. He cautiously walked toward it when he suddenly crossed paths with Caleb who had just stepped out, a curious look flashing on his face as he noticed Gerald.“What are you doing here? Do you need something, Mr.?”“Is Liliana inside? I just heard her laughing.”Caleb blinked at him in confusion.“What do you mean? Miss Liliana isn't here.”“But I just heard her laughing inside…”Before Caleb could respond, Liliana suddenly stepped out of the tent, walking beside Jack and holding some papers in her hands.“Here, give this to Mr. Bart later. It’s for the sports events and the party tonight.”“Got it.”Their footsteps slowed as Liliana spotted Gerald standing nearby.“Oh, what are you doing here, Gerald?”He crossed his arms and asked, “I should be the one asking you that. What are

Liliana’s Point of View*What is up with that guy's expression? I mean, we won the game, didn’t we?Something feels off about that specific person. I tried to wipe the sweat from my face as I finished the game, but my back was another story. I tried to reach it to no avail. All this sweating was making me feel sticky. I think it’s best if I just walk away for the time being. I’m not planning on participating in the next two games which are basketball and volleyball, but Gerald and Mirabelle will handle it, as every group member was required to participate in one activity.Where did my husband go, actually?I was strolling when without warning; someone pulled me into a tent. My attention instantly moved to the tent reducer, wondering who it could be. “You gave me a heart attack, Hubby,” I confessed while fanning my face. I made it a point to rub my chest as I was still trying to get my breath back.“Guess you weren’t expecting this,” he said beforehand trying to hug me.“Too much swe

Liliana’s Point of ViewI was just staring into Gerald’s eyes when a voice suddenly echoed from the front. An announcer had stepped up to the stage to signal the start of the event.“Good morning, everyone! Welcome to our 30th Festival!”Everyone clapped and cheered in response. The venue was spacious, large enough to accommodate all of us comfortably.I overheard earlier that we wouldn’t be heading home until lunchtime tomorrow. Thankfully, I already told Grandpa I’d be arriving in the afternoon. I was worried that our housemaid might have slipped and mentioned something else to Grandpa. Knowing him, he would definitely get worried if things weren’t clear.“Are you okay?”I turned to Gerald, who was looking at me with concern in his eyes.“I’m just thinking. Everything’s supposed to be perfect, right? I just feel like I forgot something.”I quickly changed the subject. Good thing I think fast in situations like this. Unlike others, I don’t give away much.“Stop worrying. Everything i

Liliana’s Point of View*I slowly lowered my phone after Grandpa ended the call. I bit my nail anxiously and stood up, pacing around the living room. A moment later, Asher came out of his hiding spot.“Wife?”“Grandpa knows what that bastard did.”He let out a short laugh.“Are you laughing right now?”“I find it amusing. You sound just like your Grandpa, Darling. But cursing isn’t good.”“Well, he’s exactly like that, so he’s exempted. Ugh, what should I do now? If I bring Gerald there, Grandpa will definitely ask me to leave him immediately. Then he’ll find out my plan…”“I have an idea. What if I go with you instead?”I turned to look at him.“Do you still want to live tomorrow? Don’t. Have some mercy on your life.”“No, no, I’m serious. Let me handle your Grandpa. Just tell him that we’re coming to visit tomorrow, and we’ll tell him we’re already married. I’ll take care of the rest.”“Do you think it’s safe to do that?”“Yes, it’s safe. Trust me. I know because you’re just like yo

Liliana’s Point of ViewMy eyes slowly fluttered open… and I froze. I was lying on top of Asher. My arms were wrapped around him, and he was hugging me back just as tightly. My face was pressed against his neck, and as the realization hit me, I carefully pushed myself up to sit on his stomach, gently trying to pull his arms off me.But he was holding on tight. I had no idea how to escape without waking him.I glanced at the clock and my eyes widened again. We’re gonna be late if we stay like this any longer! We had a movie marathon last night, and now… we’d slept in all the way to noon.“Hubby, wake up. We're gonna be late.”He opened his eyes lazily… then shut them again and pulled me right back into his chest. I gasped.“Hubby!”“Just a few more minutes.”“No! We don’t have time for more minutes, they’re already getting things ready outside. The festival is today!”“What’s your role again? In your department?”“Huh?”“Do they need you badly? Are you the one setting up curtains or go

Liliana’s Point of View We didn’t continue with the movie marathon because apparently, we were headed to a place that Asher said was perfect for my current situation. We were inside the car now, and I glanced at him. He was holding my hand while quietly staring out the window. “Where exactly are we going?” I asked, pouting. “I’ve been confused since earlier. You still haven’t told me where we’re headed. Even Kuya Driver won’t say a word.” I was clearly sulking. It was frustrating. My eyes were still swollen from all the crying earlier, and now we were out in public. “Is there a secret you’re supposed to tell me right away?” I added, my pout deepening as I looked at him. “My eyes are still puffy from crying,” I mumbled, looking away. “I don’t feel like going out like this.” “We’ll probably get a discount if your eyes are red and puffy,” he joked. My eyes widened. “Huh?!” He chuckled. “Wife, just relax. We’re almost there, so stop worrying, okay?” I sighed and leaned back in my

Liliana’s Point of View I was staring blankly at him, still dazed from the kiss he gave me. His lips slowly pulled away from mine, and I blinked, trying to process what just happened. “W-Why did you kiss me?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. “You really tempt me, Honey,” he said, biting his lower lip right after. I blinked again, stunned. “Wait, what did I do?” “You licked the sauce off the corner of my mouth,” he answered. My whole body froze. Oh my God—I didn’t even realize I did that! “I’m sorry… I guess I’m just used to it.” His brows furrowed even deeper. He set his spoon and fork on the table, then gave me a look that made me sit up straighter. “Used to it with who, hmm?” He didn’t sound angry. But something about his tone felt… off. Like he was uncomfortable with the idea. “I just didn’t want to leave—” “Did you do that to your ex?” My eyes widened at his question. “What? No! I mean… wait, why do you sound affected?” “Because I’m your husband.” I closed
