Chapter Eleven: Irritation

Feeling a wave of dizziness wash over me, I laid on the cold stone floor, closing my eyes.

"We should get you to a healer." Wilson said, his voice laced with worry. "Just to make sure you're alright."

"I'm fine." I muttered as I waited for my head to stop spinning. "Nothing that a good night's sleep can't cure."

Even with my eyes closed, I could sense Wilson's worry as he remained in place. I didn't know if it was genuine worry for me or if it was fear of Elias' reaction. Deciding it was probably the latter, I opened my eyes and sat up.

"See, I'm okay." I insisted while standing.

Even though I was trying to feign being alright, my body didn't want to cooperate as I stumbled forward, only to be caught by Wilson.

"I am taking you to the healer." He insisted, trying to help me remain upright. "This isn't the actions of someone who is okay."

Too weak, I couldn't argue with Wilson any further as he wrapped an arm around my waist and began helping me out of the room.
