Chapter 9: Desire
It was late at night and she just finished a good piece she was inspired to paint. Feeling thirsty, she went out of her room to go to the kitchen and get herself something to drink before she sleeps. After taking a glass of water in the kitchen, she was about to go upstairs and go back to her room when her attention got caught by someone in the dark living room. Turning on the lampshades located at the corner of the living room, she found Zeke sitting on the floor vomiting. Feeling worried, she immediately walk towards him to attend to him.
"Are you okay?" She couldn't help to ask him.
She was not sure if he heard her or he just never bother to answer. He just looked at her before he wipe his lips using the dorsal side of his hand. His eyes were glassy and bloodshot. Based on the redness of his face and his smell, he seemed drunk.
