Chapter 20

Kimberly walked out of school with Layla when Kimberly remembered she forgot her book in class, so she rushed back in.

When she arrived in the classroom, the only person present was Jack. He stared into the air and had a dull mood. She thought of ignoring him but she couldn’t, so she approached him.

‘Hey’ she said and he smiled at her, the smile was just a cover for his hardships.

‘Why aren’t you leaving? Oh wait…you live In school’ she laughed out trying to enlighten his mood.

Jack chucked before staring at her ‘Yes, I sleep over there’ He pointed at a chair and they both laughed.

‘You should go home’ she said now seriously.

‘I have a lot of things in my mind, scared of losing my sister’ he said and Kimberly felt bad.

‘What happened to her?’

‘She was involved in an accident and is in a coma’ he said and Kimberly held his hands thereby giving him comfort.

‘She will be fine, you need to believe and be strong when she wakes up’ Kimberly said and smiled at her.

Jack nodded and hugged her
