Arlene's POV I tried not to think about Seraphina for the rest of the evening. After Judith had taken the luggage upstairs, I returned to my room and spent the remaining hours trying to convince myself that her arrival shouldn't matter to me. She was only an old acquaintance of Simone's, someone who had happened to come to the estate because her car had broken down.
