Ethan’s POV

The restaurant was too polished for what I needed it to be.

Soft lighting. Expensive silence. The kind of place people chose when they wanted to believe they were still in control of their lives. I didn’t feel like I was.

I sat at the back corner table, where the mirror-like glass wall reflected everything but revealed nothing useful. My fingers tapped lightly against the table even though I wasn’t paying attention to the rhythm. I haven’t been paying attention to much lately.

  • My Ex Fiancé Uncle’s Obsession    One Night Of Weakness

Victoria’s POV I arrived at the Hotel restaurant twenty minutes early. The windows overlooked the Hudson River, where the last streaks of sunset shimmered across the water. Soft piano music floated through the intimate dining room, blending with the quiet laughter of couples tucked into secluded corners. I chose a table by the window and ordered only a glass of water. Tonight wasn’t about impressing George, it was about reminding him. I caught my reflection in the glass. My makeup was softer than usual, my hair loosely resting over my shoulders, and instead of the designer dresses I normally wore, I had chosen a simple cream dress. George had never fallen in love with glamour. He fell in love with vulnerability. Always wanted someone to save. As I rehearsed every word in my head, the waiter returned to ask if I was ready to order. “I’m waiting for someone,” I replied with a polite smile. I wasn’t going to make accusations or excuses and no mention of Adrian unless George brou

  • My Ex Fiancé Uncle’s Obsession    Suspicion

Victoria’s POV The call from George was beginning to bother me. It was not the normal ordinary call we usually had, but the kind that carried questions he was too afraid to ask. I had spent years learning the difference between a person who listened and a person who doubted, and from that call I could tell he was having doubts. George had always been easy to understand. He was loyal, emotional, and painfully desperate to believe that the people he loved were worth saving. That was what made him useful. He wanted to see the good in me even when everyone else had already decided I was the villain of their story. But now that hesitation had started to grow, it was dangerous. I wondered if Adrian’s influence had reached him too. Adrian had always been good at destroying things quietly, pulling strings from the shadows and making people believe they were acting on their own. I hated that about him, hated even more that he was winning. Because while I was fighting to hold on to what

  • My Ex Fiancé Uncle’s Obsession    Cracks In The Lie

George’s POV The cool night air hit my face the moment I stepped out of the restaurant, but it did nothing to quiet the storm inside me. Adrian Blackwood’s expression refused to leave my mind. I had expected anger, arrogance, maybe even hatred, but what I had seen in his eyes wasn’t any of those things. It was fear. Not fear of me, but fear of losing Ava. I walked aimlessly along the sidewalk, the city lights blurring together as fragments of our confrontation replayed over and over in my head. The way Adrian had looked at Ava wasn’t the look of a man obsessed with possessing someone. It was the look of someone desperately trying not to lose the person he loved. Victoria had painted a completely different picture. She had described Adrian as cold, controlling, and incapable of loving anyone but himself. She claimed he destroyed lives because he enjoyed power, that every kind gesture was another way of tightening his grip on people. For years, I had believed every word without q

  • My Ex Fiancé Uncle’s Obsession    Losing Control

Adrian’s POV The meeting should have had my full attention. Instead, every word spoken around the conference table dissolved into meaningless noise while my thoughts remained trapped somewhere else entirely. A quarterly report lay open in front of me, pages filled with projections, profit margins, and investor forecasts, but the figures blurred together until they became nothing more than black ink on white paper. Noah’s voice was steady as he presented the numbers, department heads occasionally asking questions or offering suggestions, yet I hadn’t processed a single sentence in the last several minutes. My phone rested beside my notebook. The dark screen reflected the fluorescent lights overhead. No messages. No missed calls. No reply from Ava. A strange irritation settled beneath my skin, subtle at first, then steadily growing heavier. It wasn’t because I expected her to answer every time I called. Ava had never been the type to drop everything simply because I wanted her att

  • My Ex Fiancé Uncle’s Obsession    Dinner With The Past

Ava’s POV The business card remained inside my desk drawer for the rest of the afternoon, silently waiting for a decision I kept pretending I had already made. I told myself I wasn’t thinking about George, yet every time I reached for something inside that drawer, my eyes found the white card before I could stop them. It wasn’t because I wanted him back; it was because a part of me still wanted to understand why the person I loved most had walked away without letting me fight for us. By the time Chloe and Mia entered my office, they didn’t need to ask what was wrong because they already knew. Chloe looked toward the drawer before looking back at me, and the small knowing expression on her face told me she had noticed everything I had been trying to hide. “You haven’t thrown it away,” she said softly. I looked down at my desk. “I don’t know why.” Mia crossed her arms. “Yes, you do.” I hated that she was right. “You’re not thinking about giving George another chance,” Chloe sa

  • My Ex Fiancé Uncle’s Obsession    Echoes That Linger

Ava’s POV The door clicked shut behind George, and I remained exactly where I was, my eyes fixed on the empty space he’d left behind as though the room itself was still trying to catch up with what had just happened. I had spent years believing that if I ever saw him again, my heart would either break all over or demand answers I’d never received, yet standing in front of him had taught me something I never expected—I hadn’t been waiting for George to come back, I’d only been waiting for the chance to let him go. Slowly, I found my way to my private office and lowered myself into my office chair, releasing a long breath that seemed to carry years of old hurt away with it. I had forgiven him. Saying those words aloud hadn’t been difficult. Living long enough to mean them had been. There had been a time when George Walker had been my entire future, when every dream I had built somehow included him standing beside me, laughing over burnt dinners in our tiny apartment and prom

  • My Ex Fiancé Uncle’s Obsession    Hidden Truth

Ava's PovMia didn’t say anything at first. She just stared at me from across the kitchen, her fingers wrapped tightly around a mug of coffee that had long gone cold, like she’d forgotten it existed. Her eyes were locked on me—searching, calculating, waiting for me to say something that would make

  • My Ex Fiancé Uncle’s Obsession    The Betrayal

Ava's PovI thought the sound of laughter coming from our bedroom was the TV I’d forgotten to turn off. But as I pushed the door open, I realized the sound was much deeper, much more intimate, and coming from a man whose voice I didn’t recognize, wrapped in the arms of the man I was supposed to mar

  • My Ex Fiancé Uncle’s Obsession    The video

Ava’s POVThe door closes behind me, soft and almost weightless against the storm building inside my chest. I keep walking, one step after another, my heels striking the floor in a steady rhythm that doesn’t match the chaos in my pulse. I don’t stop in the hallway, not when the receptionist glances

  • My Ex Fiancé Uncle’s Obsession    The Reveal

Ava’s POVIt’s been one week working for him. One week pretending I don’t remember the night we shared. One week of acting like nothing happened when everything changed. And the truth is, pretending is getting harder.Adrian Blackwood doesn’t miss a thing. Not the way my focus slips, not the way I
