Chloe muttered something under her breath as she shook her head again. I stared at her with a patient look. The last thing I wanted to do was stress her out more when she wasn’t even certain if what she was feeling was true.

I believed she was saying this because of her hormones. I didn’t know Royce all too well, but after hearing what he went through to win Chloe’s love back from Rowan, I doubted a man like him would cheat on her. He was completely head over heels for her.

“And how does he act now?” I asked again since I hadn’t received an answer the first time.
