Rowan watched me like he wanted to say something else but kicked against it at the last moment.

We both walked towards our car in silence, I wouldn’t say I was silent though because all the way to my car I couldn’t help but think of whose car we were taking to the restaurant of his choice.

I stared at him in surprise when I saw him walking towards my car instead of his.

“Are we going in my car?” I asked and got a nod from him.

He must have seen the question on my face because he started explaining why we had to use my car.

“I’m not taking my car because yours is the safest for the kids, you know with the car seats and also you might need your car later on.” He shrugged as he helped me strap Luna in her car seat while I helped Lucas.

“I can come over to pick up my car anytime,” or he doesn’t have to come back to pick up his car since he has more than one.
