Rowan was standing at the end of the stairs when I came down, he was holding Lucas who wouldn’t stop pulling at his collar. From the look of it, Rowan didn’t look a bit bothered by it, instead, he kept on smiling while pinching Lucas’s cheeks.

Their heads snapped up when the sound of my heels clanking on the floor got their attention.

My heart couldn’t help but beam with excitement when I saw the way they were both looking at me.

Rowan paused and acted like he wasn’t breathing, I took the stairs slowly so I wouldn’t fall flat on my face as I watched his eyes roam around my body.

My body suddenly feels hot at his intense stare.

“Hi,” I called, sounding breathless when I got to his front.

Rowan still didn’t say anything but his eyes didn’t leave my body.

“You look pretty Mommy,” My gaze moved to Lucas who smiled once we both locked gazes with his small shiny teeth glimmering at me.

“Aww, thank you, baby.” I told him and then looked at the man who had done nothing but stare at me
