Chapter 44 Probably Not Today

The conference room door swung open, and Griffith walked out of the group, followed by a group of people. Arthur was following closely behind him, reporting on his afternoon schedule. After arriving at his office, Griffith took off his coat and heard Arthur ask tentatively, "What did you have for lunch today, Mr. Wilson?"

Griffith furrowed his brow and glanced at him.

Arthur smiled and explained, "It's the 15th today."

Griffith finally remembered that Charlotte would bug him all afternoon every 15th of the month, bringing him homemade lunch.

Considering their current relationship, Arthur felt Charlotte might not show up today. He could not say that outright, so he said, "Perhaps, she'll come?"

Griffith's expression remained the same. He tossed his cufflinks on the sofa and responded, "When hasn't she come?"

'Probably not today,' Arthur thought to himself.

"Should I reserve your time in the afternoon?" he asked.
