VIOLET’S POV

Shopping with Lynn for my wedding was the one thing I wanted to do. But since she wasn’t here, I definitely had to opt for Akira. But first, I wanted to visit Luna and Kyros.

They had invited Ares and me for dinner that evening, but I still needed to see her. There was something missing that none of us had even noticed.

As I walked through the big gates, I had memories of Ares’ and my vacation flooding back. It had just been a day since we had been away, but it felt like ages ago.

Those were one of the perfect moments when I had totally tried to forget about anything that concerns the abduction. We were just a day into the palace, and the Elders were already bringing up the topic like it was the only thing they could talk about.

I was hurt that Ares didn’t even tell me about the men that had come to see him. If he was not hiding anything from me, why didn’t he tell me? It couldn’t have been something that skipped his mind.
