Claus exclaimed, startled by the movement behind toward him. Two menacing-looking dogs charges towards him.

“What the actual fuck!” Claus exclaimed, this time very loud when he saw the third dog joined the other two.

His heart racing, he turned swiftly to run for his life but it was too late.

The dogs circled Claus, their growls and barks filling the air. He had dealt with dangerous situations before, but this was entirely unexpected not in his present mental breakdown.

He tried to maintain his composure, knowing that panicking would only make things worse.

“Carol! Carol! ¡Ayúdeme!” he cried out to Carol for help but Carol who is now back at the veranda didn’t move.

Claus began to backpedal slowly, keeping a close eye on the snarling dogs. He knew he needed to find an opportunity to escape their encirclement. The field felt vast, and there was no immediate help in sight.
