After dinner, the kids did not rush to their rooms as Ella was used to. Instead, they joined her in the sitting room as she watched TV, and cuddled in her embrace.

“What is it, my babies? don’t you want to sleep?”

Clare shook her head and smiled at her mother, “Mommy, it is too early. Besides, it has been a while since we have accompanied you to watch your favorite show.”

“But don’t you have to do your homework?”

“What are a few kindergarten questions when we have finished the grade six syllabus.”

“Well, Mommy you seem to be in a good mood today, did something nice happen?” Caleb looked at his mother and asked.

“Or did you get a call from your secret admirer? You were so happy that you could not stop smiling throughout dinner?”

Ella was amused when she heard her children. Was it that obvious?

“What are you talking about?”

“Yesterday, you were crying like it was the end of the world, but today, you were smiling so happily. Care to share with your little angels?”
