They both stood still, stepping away from each other.

“Oh, it’s fine..." came the response.

“Liora?”

“Oh, Felix Lawson?” Liora asked to be sure she recalled his name.

“Hey, how have you been?" Felix asked.

“Very well, and you?” Liora asked.

“I’ve been okay, doing good on my end," Felix responded, his eyes darting around.

Liora was not sure what he was looking for, so she quickly said, “Thank you for your help with the blood bank.”

“Oh, that’s been ages; please, saving lives comes before any per

Felix and Travis stood in a corner at the opposite end of the hall, patiently waiting for their ride to arrive."Were you really alone out there earlier?" Felix asked.Travis grinned and replied, "You seem awfully interested in my affairs tonight.""Because you have been swearing under your breath all night after whatever happened earlier, which you have chosen not to talk about," Felix accused."Me? Swear?" Travis asked, eyes narrowed in feigned innocence."Yes, and if I didn't know better, I would say it has something to do with Liora. Your eyes seemed to follow her about earlier," Felix stated.A few guests walked past them, waving them good night and smiling their way.Travis responded to a few of them, letting Felix's words hang in the air for a few seconds."Looks like I am spot on." Felix mumbled, adding, "I guess that was why you disappeared on me earlier.""Can we not talk about her?" Travis asked."I was actually concerned because you had a few more glasses than you usually

She stayed up there for a few seconds, not sure what her reaction should be."What is it?" Betty asked when Liora stayed mute.Liora's lip curled up in a smile as she said, "You need to see for yourself.""What is it?" Lily asked."It's best seen with your own eyes." Liora responded, trying not to laugh. She stepped down from the water closet for Betty to climb on and see as well."Mom!" Betty exclaimed, adding, "Why are you sleeping in the restroom?""Sleeping?" Lily asked, trying not to laugh."Fiona," Liora called softly. There was no response, so Betty shouted, "Mrs. White!"That seemed to do the trick, as she jumped up and responded, "Yes.""Fiona, open the door," Liora called out.The sound of the lock clicking could be heard as Fiona finally opened the door, looking slightly confused."What happened?" She asked, her eyes squinting as she tried to make sense of the situation. They all looked at her blankly, and then her eyes widened as the situation dawned on her."Oh my goodnes

The stranger in question was oblivious to their gazes as he kept on speaking to another guest beside him."Yes, him," Lily responded. The tension around them heightened as Liora tried to get a view of the person's face."Are you sure?" Ian asked again."Of course I am; I wouldn't say it if I didn't see him. And the fact that he keeps staring at Liora," Lily added."Oh God, Oscar," Liora mumbled under her breath."Do you know him?" Betty asked, looking at Liora."Huh?" Liora mumbled, adding, "I can't seem to get a good look at his face.""I think I know him," Ian mumbled, still squinting."Really?" they all asked, turning to look at him in question."Yeah, I think so," Ian replied. For one, Liora was glad it was someone Ian knew, which also meant it probably was not Oscar. She sighed in relief as she finally saw that the face of the stranger was not Oscar."Who is he?" Lily asked."I saw him at one of the tables where Evelynn was at some point tonight." Ian said, adding, "And we got ta

Back at the house, Julian stared at the phone; the twins huddled close to him."We need to tell your mom," Julian stated."No, I am going to make him daddy; we cannot tell Mom," Amelia said, shaking her head."You need to go to their studio; this one is quite different from the others," Julian said. With other brands, they had only had to hold a product and dance or say a key word to direct customers to the brand."Can you explain?" Amelia asked.Julian thought about it for a second, wondering how hard can it be to explain the difference in a contract to two six-year-olds."You need to go to the office where you…" Julian started."That means we can see Daddy too." Amelia cheered in excitement."And we can see his office too. Cool." Adrain grinned."You guys are not listening to me." Julian groaned in frustration."Can we also dance with Daddy?" Amelia asked."I think so," Adrian mumbled, rubbing his neck."Listen to me, guys," Julian called out, snapping a finger in their faces."Okay

  • My Ex-Wife Is A Famous Doctor   Just Around

The air around them seemed to become still as Liora breathed in, her chest heaving. She knew that this moment could make or break all that she had planned."In your dreams, Ashford," Liora said under her breath."Oh, you don't want to know what's in them, Liora." Travis responded, his voice raspy and filled with a hint of danger. The tension between them was palpable, crackling like electricity in the air. Anyone who saw them could feel the tension from miles away."Get over yourself, Travis," Liora shot back, raising her brows. Those four words broke the silence, landing between them with a weight that seemed to disturb even the air around them. For a brief second, everything felt suspended—then the wind surged as if stirred by the tension itself. It swept through with sudden force, rushing past them in a restless gust that lifted and tossed Liora’s hair wildly around her head."The next time you get this close, it'll be the death of you, Travis," Liora swore. She turned back and wal

It hit her all at once in the rush of fresh air—the coastal wind laced with the faint saltiness of the sea, cool and crisp as it brushed against her skin. Beneath it lingered the subtle hush of distant waves and the earthy dampness carried inland, a scent so distinct it felt almost tangible.“Oh,” she muttered, a quiet note of surprise slipping out as the realization settled in—only now noticing that the hall stood in a coastal area, close enough for the ocean to announce its presence with every breath of wind. The wave of the ocean was a perfect example of what was going on inside her. Her emotions were swelling and looking for a way out."Liora, you can do this. I can do this. I can let go of all this pent-up energy and focus on..." Liora muttered, trailing off."I am back stronger, wiser, and more prepared. My vengeance is coming like a sandstorm, and I'm going to sweep away everything that stands in my way." She mumbled like a mantra. She called an image of the twins to mind. They
