The car ride to Grandma’s place was kind of quiet, tense, and awkward. The only sound that could be heard was the sound of Cedric humming an unfamiliar tune which had Paige side-eyeing a couple of times.

Cedric only hums whenever he has achieved something significant and in this situation, Paige was quite confused as to what he could have possibly achieved that is leaving him in such a good mood, humming his breath away while she watched the city trying to think about the reason grandma didn't call her directly.
