It was noisy in the house that morning that it roused Paige from her early morning nap. Paige rubbed the sleep from.her eyes, stumbling out of her room to check what the commotion was about.

She followed the sound of hushed whisperings and noisy rattling to the guest room where her friends were trying to sneak out of the house.

“What's going on?”

“Goodmorning our soon-to -be mother.” Veera exclaimed, “Did we wake you up?”

Paige shrugged, “You guys are sneaking out.” It wasn't a question. The two girls exchanged guilty looks and Veera held up her hand in surrender.

“Well, you made a big decision yesterday and we just thought we should give you a little surprise gift.” Veera said, her voice laced with amusement. “It's been awhile we gave you a surprise too.”

Paige chuckled fondly, “Your presence here is more than any surprise and gift. You girls don't need to bother yourselves.” Paige didn't want to be alone right now. She has already gotten used to the presence of the oth
