Sansa’s POV

“Look at him, he has no shame!" Ellen spat as we watched him walk into the courtroom.

I sighed. That wasn't news anymore.

Killian had no shame. He didn't care who watched him. He didn't care how much he hurt her. He never cared when they were still married and he clearly wouldn't start caring now.

“How did you end up with him anyways? He's such a douchebag!"

"I guess I didn't know better,” I replied and shrugged.

But Ellen was right. How did I get married to Killian? He was nothing like the kind of man I wanted and somehow, I ended up with him.

But I had to forgive myself. I was broken. I was hurt and I had just lost my entire family in a car crash.

Killian was the one thing that made me happy and when he proposed, it felt like the most natural thing to say yes and end up with him.

Now that I thought of it, it was a silly decision and I had paid for it dearly with three years of my life and a truckload of trauma and stolen inheritance.

“Hey, are you okay?" Winston

Sansa’s POV“Killian Wolfe is not biologically related to Winston Wolfe. He was a stray kid taken in.”I sank into the hard wooden bench as Augustine’s words echoed in the courtroom. What?! How could this be? How could he not be a Wolfe?! “You’re not our blood.” With every breath, my heart thudded more wildly. This whole trial had already been a war. Now the war was about to explode completely.Killian looked like he'd been hit in the face, jaw slack as Augustine laid down file after file before the lawyers. Clearly, they were original birth records, adoption papers, genetic test results. The court clerk uploaded them carefully, but Heaven only knew I didn’t need to see them.I always wondered why Killian hated his father. Did he know? Augustine’s fingers trembled slightly as he handed each document to the bailiff and, with a quiet gone, explained in meticulous detail how Winston and Killian’s “relationship” had been based on compassion and pity and not biology.“Your Honor,” Aug

  • My Father-In-Law's Craziest Obsession   Chapter 109: The Court Verdict

Sansa's POVI wasn't kidding when I said I'd get divorced the next morning. Winston was too honorable for his own good. Last night, I was begging to be touched and he barely touched me! Goodness, I was crazy with need but I had no choice. He'd made a decision and he was standing by it. “I won't sleep with my daughter-in-law," he said last night we he cuddled me and I slept beside him. He was right. As long as Killian and I remained married legally, he was still my father-in-law. That had to change. It was morning and the sun light streamed into my room. I was already awake, sitting in front of my vanity, gently brushing my hair. Today wasn’t just another day. It was the day I would finally be free of Killian Wolfe, legally. The last step. This was a big deal. I didn't feel anything for Killian anymore and I'd long gotten rid of his ring. But somehow, I was still Sansa Wolfe. I needed to get rid of that name too. “And maybe get another Wolfe," I couldn't help but mutter to mys

Sansa's POVThe ride home was dead silent. I didn’t know what I expected from that press conference, but it certainly wasn’t the circus that Killian turned it into. My head was pounding from the flashes of the cameras, the avalanche of questions, and the oddity of my own confessions. I would never have thought I had it in me. I was afraid. Afraid of public criticism and everything that could go wrong. But somehow, standing there, watching Killian try to cage me again, it woke something in me and I decided I'd had enough. I wasn't going to play the victim game anymore. Killian was holding just one thing over my head. My love for his father. The affair we both had when we didn't even know who we really were. Now, it was all out in the open. Yes. I had admitted everything and I finally felt free. Winston hadn't said a word since we left the venue of the conference, but his hand remained on mine throughout the drive, and that told me more than words ever could. But when the gates o

Sansa's POVThe sun was already up and I should have been getting ready, but I sat still in front of the vanity mirror, barely blinking. The robe I wore was loosely tied, my hair untouched, my makeup bag unopened. My mind was consumed with worry. The press conference was today. Killian had promised to publicly apologize. And here I was, frozen. Reluctant. Dreading every minute.A knock sounded on the door but I didn’t move. Gosh, I wanted to be alone. Winston walked in without waiting for me to answer. “Why aren’t you dressed?” he asked, arching an eyebrow as he leaned against the doorframe. “The press conference is in half an hour, and you know women need extra time for everything. Come on, hurry up and get dressed.”He turned as if to leave, but then paused. I still hadn’t moved. He frowned.“Sansa?”He walked over and stood behind me, his hands gently landing on my shoulders. “Is everything okay? Why are you so quiet?”I looked at him in the mirror. My eyes, usually so full of f

  • My Father-In-Law's Craziest Obsession   Chapter 106: A New Leaf

Sansa's POVBy the time I made it downstairs, my face was still burning. I had done my best to calm down, freshen up, dab a little powder over my flushed cheeks, but it was no use. I kept replaying the moment in my mind, the moment the servant walked in on me and Winston, mid-kiss, with his hand pressed just below my shirt and my heart threatening to leap out of my chest. And as fate would have it, the same servant was walking up the stairs as I was coming down. Her eyes darted to the side the moment she saw me, her cheeks turning redder than a sun-dried tomato.Oh Goodness. Here we go."Hey," I called out gently, stopping midway. "Can I speak with you for a second?"She froze like I’d caught her stealing the crown jewels. “I... I didn’t see anything,” she blurted. “I swear, ma’am. I saw nothing. Absolutely nothing!”I blinked, biting back a smile. “Come on. You and I both know that you saw something.”“I swear I didn’t mean to! I just came to tell Mr. Wolfe that dinner was ready. I
