Winston’s POV

The next morning. I rolled out of bed feeling strangely calm, almost too calm for a man who was about to detonate a bomb at his own breakfast table.

This wasn't my style. I didn't like to be dramatic with teaching people lessons but Eleanor had proven too stubborn to get rid of without the theatrics.

“I'm only trying to play her own game," I shrugged as I toweled my hair and quickly changed into a soft cotton T-shirt.

Eleanor had barely slept through the previous night after I told her of the announcement

I knew this because every hour I heard her barking orders at staff, trailing through the halls and arranging everything in place.

She had a thing for parties and I knew just how to occupy her.

But what she didn't know was that she was setting up the background for her own humiliation.

The poor woman was ecstatic. She thought today was her day of finally having access to me. Her “big announcement” she’d hijacked as her vacation fantasy.

She had no idea what was a

Sansa's POV Soon, we were at the gate of the Wolfe estate and I couldn't help the soft sigh that escaped my lips. The car rolled to a gentle stop and I barely noticed when the driver got out to open the door for me.I stepped out slowly, as though my body was moving ahead of my spirit. I was still trying to wrap my head around what had happened earlier in the court. I was still shocked. Still stunned. Still playing the courtroom scenes in my head over and over again.Soon, I heard footsteps beside me and I got reminded that my friend was still with me. “You're still in shock?” Ellen asked dryly. “Come on, Sansa. Did you really think there’d be no miracle for you?”I turned to face her, trying to form words, my lips trembling. “Yes,” I whispered. “I thought I was going to lose everything for real.”Ellen scoffed but her voice softened. “That’s why you have an amazing friend like me. Someone who knows what to do when her friend, and her company is sinking.” She opened her arms casual

Sansa's POV Who was it that dared to interrupt a court proceeding? I needed to get this over with so I could deal with the shame and continue my miserable life. I turned around slowly, my heart racing as I struggled to breathe. The voice that had interrupted the judge in the courtroom didn’t belong to anyone I recognized. A tall man in a gray suit was standing a few benches away. His dark hair was slicked back, and he clutched a leather portfolio against his chest. “I beg your pardon, your Honor,” the man said diplomatically. He stepped forward, eyes scanning the courtroom before resting briefly on me. “My name is Simon Denning,” he announced. “I represent Wolfe Incorporated and I have come to finalize our contract with the Vale family.”The room gasped. My heart stuttered.Wolfe Incorporated?Time seemed to freeze. I blinked, almost unsure if I had heard right. The only Wolfe Incorporated I knew in the city belonged to none other than Winston Wolfe. And at once, I turned arou

Sansa's POV I stared at the man in front of me, blinking in disbelief as he spat out words I couldn’t even begin to make sense of.Elders? What was he talking about? “You’re arrogant and proud, just like your father,” he sneered. “Today is the happiest day of my life. Finally, everything that should have belonged to me will be mine.”I took an involuntary step back with a frown on my face. I could swear I had never met this man before in my life. “I’m sorry, do I know you?”He laughed loudly at my confusion and it sounded bitter and cops. “Of course you don’t. You children never know anything. You can’t even show respect to your elders!”My heart began to thud loudly in my chest. Although he was unfamiliar, there was something unnerving about him, something familiar I couldn’t quite place. “I can see your mother's stupidity in your eyes. She didn't respect me either! I can see it's a poison that runs in the blood." For a second, I thought he was a mad man. But he was dressed too

Sansa's POV “You look amazing,” Ellen breathed beside me, her voice full of awe as she zipped the last inch of my emerald silk dress.I couldn't decide if she was flattering me or she was actually honest. I stared at myself in the mirror. The gown was an emerald pencil gown that hugged me like a second skin. It had a slight flare from the mid thigh down to my knee. It was simple. It was classy. It was formal. But I couldn't exactly say I looked amazing in it. Today wasn't a day to appear too beautiful. “Nope, I don't think so," I replied dejectedly. “Oh, come on! It's lovely! You look like a freaking siren. The dress matches your eyes." Ellen insisted. “Yeah, right. I am looking amazing to my own day of destruction,” I murmured bitterly despite the perfection I saw on my reflection. My hair was curled and Ellen had come earlier that morning to fix my makeup and get me ready. She was indeed a kind friend and she didn't have to be here. But at this moment, I couldn't help but t

  • My Father-In-Law's Craziest Obsession   Chapter 66: One Good Turn

Winston's POV There, in glorious high definition print, was not just a photograph but a full-blown portrait of Eleanor straddling her boy toy, Christian Alexander, in a hotel bed. Her hair was wild, her lips swollen, and his hand was gripping her thigh with a grin on his face. Eleanor let out a strangled noise and tried to cover the portrait but the maid had taken the velvet far away. “Winston! How could you—”“Oh,” I said, sipping my orange juice with a smile. “Where are your manners, Eleanor? You’re always telling others not to interrupt during announcements.”Then I raised my hands, “I'm not finished with the announcement yet." Mouths hung open and I could hear some of the maids murmur among themselves. “Oh my goodness, she's been cheating on Mr. Wolfe.” “She has a sugar boy!" Another murmured, “Can’t believe this.”Sansa covered her mouth in shock and Augustine leaned forward like it was the best entertainment of his life.“Consider this my announcement,” I continued calmly.
