Amelia's POV

I walked out of the house without even glancing back.

I couldn't stand him. I couldn't stand his arrogance and ignorance.

Goodness! How foolish could he possibly be? Did he think he could buy me with luxury items?

I hissed as the scent of all those expensive gifts clung to my clothes like poison.

Winston had tried to follow, but I held up my hand to stop him. I needed space. Breathing room and some form of sanity.

I didn't bother the driver, I didn't even take one of the cars Winston had given me access to, I simply called a cab service and rode in silence.

“We're here, ma'am," the cab driver said and I jerked up.

I hadn't even noticed when we arrived at my company. “Thank you," I mumbled and got out of the car, paying him with a tip.

By the time I reached the office, I was half-hoping for an emergency meeting or an account to sort out, anything that would buy me time to gather myself.

Instead, I found Ellen standing on the front steps, looking like a deranged che

Sansa's POVThe elevator hummed quietly as it ascended, but the silence between Winston and me was louder. I stood there, still reeling from the confrontation with Killian, my hands clutching the box of chocolates Winston had brought. I didn’t even have the heart to look at it just yet. My eyes were on the metallic elevator doors, reflecting a distorted image of my flushed, uncertain face.Winston shifted beside me. "Are you okay?"I nodded too quickly. "Yes... yes, I’m fine."He gave me a long look. I knew he didn’t believe me, not entirely. His gaze dipped to the box in my arms. "The chocolates. You used to like that brand."I blinked, then looked down. The gold-ribboned box shimmered faintly. I smiled softly, touched despite myself. "Thank you. That was thoughtful."He shrugged, smiling in that maddeningly charming way of his. "It’s nothing."I turned slightly to him, about to say more, when he reached out and gently tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. The intimacy of the gestur

Winston's POV I wasn’t expecting drama when I left the estate. All I wanted was to keep a promise. A simple one. I told Sansa I’d bring her lunch today. After the chaos Killian stirred up earlier, I figured she could use a peaceful moment, maybe even a smile. I had maids pack her favorites. Spiced salmon with grilled chicken, some mango slices, and a chilled bottle of wine. I also grabbed a box of chocolate truffles on my way out, the expensive kind she’d once mentioned liking during a casual conversation. Something small, but thoughtful.I didn’t expect to find Killian kneeling in front of her office with a ribbon-wrapped car and a mountain of gifts, holding out a ring like he was in some kind of dramatic soap opera. And I saw Sansa. She looked very upset with a large teddy bear in hand and she was standing there. Stunned. She was about to speak when she suddenly turned and saw me. "Winston?" she said, shocked. I held up the bag and the chocolates. "I promised I’d bring you

Winston's POV It was absurd. A grown man sitting among branded teddy bears plated in faux gold and shopping bags. All for a woman who wanted nothing more than to never see his face again. But none of this pissed me off like the fact that he'd made her mad. She'd woken up happy in my arms and I promised her lunch at work and now, she was mad all because of him. “Even with all the money in the world,” Augustine said with a slow clap, “you still can’t buy back Sansa’s love, how tragic.”Killian turned to him angrily. “Shut up, Augustine. What the hell do you know about love? You’ve barely grown into your damn beard.”“I know enough to not be pathetic about it,” Augustine replied smoothly. “I know that love isn't proven with overpriced nonsense and public stunts. You’re nothing but a pampered, arrogant man.”“You brat! You were sent off to college, you're not a man, you're a silly little boy!" “Call me spoiled all you want,” Augustine shrugged, “but at least I know what it’s like to b

Sansa's POV The moment I saw Killian, my heart dropped. It was as if the air had been sucked out of the room, and my knees almost gave way.My mind scrambled to process what I was seeing. "Hello, sweetheart. Are you happy to see me?"I froze mid-step and stared down at him from the staircase, my heart pounding in disbelief. "What are you doing here?" I asked, my voice trembling despite how strong I wanted to sound. He was the bane of my existence and I hated how afraid I was at the sight of him. Killian's eyes roamed over my body shamelessly with lust. "Come on, sweetie. You look so hot in that dress. Do you want me to drive you to work?" He started ascending the stairs toward me, reaching for my hand.I recoiled immediately, backing up a step. "Stop! Don't touch me! What are you doing here?"Killian blinked like I was the unreasonable one. Then, with a dramatic glance around the estate, he threw his arms out. "Why am I the only one who sounds surprised by that question? I'm in

Sansa's POV I stirred and moaned as I felt the soft silken sheet wrap itself around me. It felt so good and I wanted to bury myself in it forever. Sighing, my fingers clutched the fabric tighter around my chest and my lashes fluttered open. For a moment, I couldn’t remember where I was. The walls weren’t mine. The curtains were too dark and the furniture too…masculine. Panic rose in my chest as the memories of ending up in that hotel with Christian suddenly came to mind. But that was until I felt a hand, a large warm hand, sliding around my waist. I tensed as I was gently pulled back against a firm chest.“Good morning, beautiful,” a voice whispered into my ear. I knew that voice even in the dream world. My eyes widened.“Winston?”He smiled lazily against my neck and I melted. It was the kind of grin that made my insides twist. “Oh my goodness,” I muttered, sitting up with a jolt, clutching the sheets to my chest. “How did I end up here?”He rubbed his eyes, clearly amused. “
