There was always a particular saying that water has no enemy; meaning that everyone and everything living needs water to survive. I can pretty much say that the case is also the same with food. Food has no enemy, everyone and everything living needs food to survive, and I definitely needed food to survive that night, just that the food was in front of me, but still far from my reach.

" Can I.......um............can I.........", I still couldn't say it.

Fuck it.

I wasn't on bad terms with the food, I was only on bad terms with the person who made the food, so the poor food did absolutely nothing wrong, and since it was a matter of life and death, I would agree to put our differences aside if need be.

" Can I join you for dinner?" I asked quickly, unsure if he was able to get a single word out of what I had said.

" Excuse me, were you speaking English or Spanish? If I'm going to listen to you, you have to speak properly", he said.

Such a he-devil. I was pretty sure he

I started writing again, and this was just a chapter of my most recent book.Chapter OneThe CoreWriter's POV She ran as fast as her feet could carry her, almost outrunning the sun on its journey to the west. She got there, and with the strength of a warrior, jumped over the tall fence in one try. She landed on green carpet grass which spread out to a lake. He stood beside the lake, in all his glory of golden yellow skin and black hair, tied up into a bun. She just stood there, staring at him. Even though she had not unlocked her wolf, she could still feel it nudging her to run to him, to embrace him, but she didn't. The encounter from two days ago was still fresh in her memory, the disdainful look he gave her as he ordered his men to beat her to a pulp was still vivid, making her scared of approaching him. She was of the black race, and he didn't accept her as his mate because of that, and she knew it too well, but still couldn't help looking for him. The strings around her h

  • My Father's Wish     Chapter Seventy-four

Hunter's POV Have you ever closed your eyes? Have you ever stopped to listen? Have you ever felt alive? As if there's nothing missing? As if you don't need a reason, just letting the day go on and on? I felt all that. Everything, anything, all at once. I could say with my full chest that my life was perfect, that I had everything I ever wanted. But all came crashing down when I heard what Mrs Mcman said. Hazel tried to explain but I just didn't want to listen to anything he was going to say. Everything was a lie. The life I had thought I had achieved, the happiness I thought I had found, the fulfillment I thought I had begotten, all of it was a lie, a lie that I had wished I never found out, a lie that had been so perfect, so demure, so fantastic that living in it forever wouldn't be a problem, but alas I found out, and I certainly had to do something. “ Gosh, how could he? I mean, all this while, how on earth could he?” Bryan said, fuming furiously after I had thoroughly exp

Hazel's POV “ We are certainly heading towards a bankruptcy”, I.C corporations financial manager, Mr Kelly had told me on my way to the middle of the week family dinner. “ Look, I told you to calm down, okay? I have everything under control. The company will not go bankrupt”, I said, trying to calm the man on the . other side of the phone who was basically panicking like a pregnant woman whose water just broke. “ You said that a month ago, you also said the same thing a week ago and yet nothing seems to be done with the situation”, he retorted, reminding me of something that had happened between us. “ I have my plans, okay, I do. I just need more time”, I said, bumping up and down a little; Basil must've ran over a speed bump. He was different from others in that aspect. A normal driver would normally slow down when he sees a speed bump, but Basil was sure enough to run over it as if he was racing. “ That plan of yours doesn't seem to notice the fact that we do not have tim

“ But then, tell me, cause I've always wondered, why did you bully me back then in middle school?” I asked Hazel as we both sat in the sitting room spending quality time together after having a hearty breakfast on a Sunday morning. “ Never have I ever” was the movie going on on the television and it was starting to get a little bit boring. “ Well, actually, remember that night that we uh, kissed in your house?” He started. “ The night of the slumber party?” “ Exactly. So after that incident that happened, not the kiss, the bed wet, I thought you weren't going to tell anyone…..”. “ I didn't tell anyone”, I retorted, cutting him off. “ I know, but back then when I got to school the following Monday, on seeing what was written about it on my locker, I thought that perhaps you had broken your promise and told someone”, his tone was apologetic, but hey, I was still mad. “ Wait, so you literally made my life a living hell in middle school because you thought that I had out
