CHAPTER SIXTEEN

“ Say something,” Alex said, his tone lace with concern.

He had followed her almost immediately she left and was relieved when she was the one who opened the door even though he could see her detest for his presence so much that even Rose's presence couldn't turn her frown, but she let him in without a word she walked straight to the kitchen and sat on one of the chairs around the kitchen island. He could tell she had been seated there probably since she came home , her face looking aged by worry.
