CHAPTER TWELVE

“Look Mama a puppy” Rose called out and pointed as she had done whenever she spotted one.

Vanessa giggled and kissed her forehead, Rose was hell bent on convincing her to get them a dog and she felt it was too much work for her and Jenny.

“We will get one when you're old enough to take care of it,” she said, dusting off sand from her knee. She had agreed to spend time with her this weekend and was somehow tricked into coming to the park. Rose was an outdoor person like her father, Vanessa would rather stay in and sleep, watch movies or tend to her garden if she had one,

“I can take care of it Mama,” she said with a familiar smile and her best puppy eyes. She knew calling her Mummy Mama makes her emissional and affectionate and she almost always gets what she wants with it but not this time.

“Okay Baby how about you take care of me and Jenny for the whole week and then I will consider” she offered resting her hands on her shoulders.
