Cally's POV
"Please, Cally... I need a friend to be with me to that party," Sabrina begged as she pleaded to me to go with her to the party, I wasn't even invited to that party but she kept bugging me about it and she even came into our house.
Placing my hand on her mouth, I told her to lower her voice, not to wake my sibling, David, an elementary student.
I frowned as I tried to decide whether to go there or not. I don't belong in such a place... it was not something I belonged with; I was only a poor young woman who got a rich friend. That party was Sabrina's world and not mine.
"Please, I didn't want to go there alone," she pouted her lips.
I sighed and slapped my temple, couldn't believe how much she kept bugging me about this party since last week.
"Sabrina..."
"Shhhh..." she hissed and then pulled a dress from the paper bag she was holding. I was surprised when she handed it over to me, telling me that she brought it for me to use. Wow, she planned it all along then? She was all prepared.
I frowned as I looked into her eyes, "Sabrina, this won't happen again. I'm just going to go there for you, but please, this would be the last time that I'll be with you at some party, okay?" I stated and she immediately agreed with me with a nod. I smiled and told her to wait for me for a while and I would only just change and try the dress she brought. Actually, as I stared at the mirror, it was stunning, I had never worn such an expensive dress ever in my life. I only bought clothes in thrift shops, and they were branded but some of them were obviously used and old-fashioned.
As I walked out of the door, Sabrina walked towards me and whispered, “Damn! You’re gorgeous. That’s why I love to be with you, I feel pretty when I am with you,” she winked and threw me some kiss and pulled me on her car.
“Slowly, they will hear you,” I cautioned her and she drove slowly, but the moment we were far from home she began driving like crazy as if we were chased by a criminal.
“Slow down, Sabrina, are you crazy?” I yelled as I gripped on my seat belt, praying we won’t get to an accident...
Yelling at the top of my lungs as she tried to tease me more, “Sabrina, we’re going to die!” I shouted the moment I saw a truck suddenly stop in front of us. Hitting the break, the car stop.
I grasped an air as I went out of the car.
I heard the driver’s side door open and I walked away from her. I was disappointed.
Frowning she grabbed my shoulders, “Are you okay? I’m sorry,” she apologized yet I didn’t speak to her. I was in a panic, the fact that my father died after we got into an accident... we were on a bus when it suddenly loses its break. I survived and my father didn’t. Tears streamed down my face as that memory flashback before my eyes. I gripped my chest as I fell on my knees, and the pang in my heart became worst.
“Cally, I’m sorry, I overdo it... I just want to have fun,” she said, trying to help me up.
Shrugging my shoulders, I came back inside the car, tongueless.
We were there for a long time, not speaking to each other. We were lucky that she hit the break earlier or else we bump that truck.
As I tried to calm myself, I noticed Sabrina frowning beside me and about to cry, so before she whines again, I spoke to her.
“What are you doing let’s go to the party now,” I smiled and she sheepishly looked at me, what a girl.
“Come on, I know you are excited to be there, let's just forget what happened, okay?” I winked at her and her face lit up and began to start the engine.
“Thank you,” I heard her whisper and I just smiled at her.
“It’s alright, let it slide.”
While we were at the party, I couldn’t believe that Sabrina would leave me alone for a guy he just met. She said they would just talk somewhere private and it was 30 minutes already but they were not back yet. I tried to find them but I failed until I noticed a man staring at me. I saw him earlier when we came here, and honestly, I felt uncomfortable now that he wasn’t looking away and just kept staring at me like a weirdo.
He was at the corner, leaning his back on the wall as he held a glass of wine around his fingers. The man was maybe about my age, tall, about 6”5 height yet skinny, he has actually a look but he was a weirdo. I didn’t like the way he looked at me.
‘And then, oh my gosh! Did he just wink at me? And he even licked and bit his lips! No way that I’m gonna let him near me.’
I ignored him and tried to look for Sabrina, I was there, searching around but I couldn’t find my crazy friend, but I noticed the guy who was staring at me earlier, he was following me. At first, I thought I was only assuming, but wherever I go he was there, following each of my steps. I gulped as I could feel how nervous I was as I secretly tried to watch where he was. I wanted to go outside but this party was away from the road and seeing how dark outside was, I was afraid he would come to me in the dark.
I tried my best to lose the guy, I walked to the crowd and make sure he won’t see me. the moment I didn’t see him around I saw a door; it was a door going to the rooftop. Making sure I wasn’t followed I run towards the door and went upstairs. Yet minutes later I heard footsteps following me, it was him. If I run, he would chase me, and I knew I could never ask a help upstairs, they were all downstairs. I tried to be calm as possible as I could and slowly tried to call one of my friends, I assumed he thought I didn’t know he was behind me because I could hear he was following me like he was being careful with each of his steps, he was trying to make it light as he could.
I already reached the rooftop, but my friend was still not answering the phone even Sabrina. I was afraid of what to do at the moment when I saw a man standing alone in the dark... I tried to familiarize the guy, and when I saw who it was, it was Nate. The class president from the other section. He was known to be a saint. We never talk to each other since we were in different sections, and I bet he never noticed me at school either since I was a nobody who was only at that school because of scholarship.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
I could hear the man who was stalking me was walking fast towards me, so because of fear and adrenaline rush, I wasn’t able to think of some other choice. I ran and grabbed Nate and the next thing I knew I was... I was kissing Nate... pretending I was there to meet him. And as I rolled my eyes at the dark side of the door, I saw the stalker stop when he saw us.
I was busy looking at the stalker inside that dark entrance when I felt Nate grabbing me closer to him and kissing me back which got my attention.
I was shocked and what’s more, I found out that he was not alone, there were two more people with us in there... Not to make my face be seen by these students, I didn’t let go of his kiss. it was embarrassing and I didn’t want them to spill the tea at our school, I wanted to study there in peace. When I saw the two leaving and went downstairs, I immediately slapped Nate, I couldn’t believe that the Saint that most of the people in our school thought was actually taking advantage of me.
“Why the heck did you kiss me?!” I exclaimed to him. I knew it was me but I had my reason and him? Geez, he took advantage of it.
He was trying to say something but thankfully, Sabrina called me. I answered the call and was about to head downstairs when a man suddenly appeared from the door, I thought it was the stalker that I almost got panicked but thankfully it was just a drunk man, and I guess Nate knew him. As Nate was trying to help the guy, at that moment, I took the opportunity to leave, but I made sure that the stalker was not downstairs.
"Where have you been?" I asked and she just smirked. Geez! Not again...
"Drove me home," I said and she was still smiling that I couldn't help but ask.
"You strange me," I said as I entered her car but she just shrugged her shoulders.
As we reached near home, I told Sabrina to stop the car, I didn't want to make my family notice me, the car might wake them up. Once they caught me, I didn't know what to say, especially that I'm wearing such a wonderful dress.
Two... "Mom, I'm leaving," I shouted as I picked up my backpack. She told me to be careful and make sure I didn't leave anything before I leave. "Goodbye, honey," my mom, Joanna, added. David was still awake but it was no problem, his school was close to our home, compared to mine which was miles away and I need to ride a bus to reach school. When I was satisfied that I didn't forget anything I immediately took off and ran as fast as I could to catch up on the early bus. *** I was heading to school when I saw Nate's car entering the school gate. "Gezzz!" I groaned and covered my face with my bag, making sure he won't notice me. That nerdy maniac should never know that we were studying in the same school, I didn't want to let anyone know what happened last night. And that kiss... I hardly sleep thinking about that thing, what a jerk I was. Who would forget that easily? The fac
Three Cally's POV The soft heavy cotton yet relaxing was covering me from below my neck down my feet. I stretched my hands, yawned and opened my eyes, smiling, I stared at the half-opened window. The clear blue sky peeking on the curtain was beautiful. The scent of pine tress outside was very comforting. I sniffed the air, my hands were still above my head when I realized something. "I'm not in my house!" I panicked. I couldn't move and remembered that I fell and a guy caught me before I reached the floor. "No!" I exclaimed and held the sheet covering me, I slid my head inside to check myself. I sighed in relief when I found out that I wasn't naked. I stood up and fixed the bed, I tried to check my bag and leave right away. But I couldn't find it. "Where is it?" I groaned. I could j
Four... Cally's POV A loud chuckle escaped from his mouth when I explained to him what happened that night. About the man stalking me, and me who was running away and saw him on the roof. "What is so funny?" I glared at him. He clicked his tongue, "Nothing!" he responded. I groaned as I rolled my eyes. It's time for me to return the question. "I am supposed to be the one who needs explanation here... Now, tell me, why did you kiss me back that night?" I gave him a dagger look and he looked straight into my eyes. I didn’t know but his stares were making me nervous. He drew a heavy sigh and make a face, "We were at the same pace that night..." "What do you mean?" I got bewildered. "My ex-girlfriend thought I was stalking her while she was with her boyfriend, and they were on the rooftop that day... I didn't need to explain further why I kissed you... I suppose you already know my reas
Five...Nate's POVI was speechless when she told me that we went to the same school. I couldn't believe that I didn't even see her, yes, I'd never noticed her before. Maybe because I was too busy with my studies including Loreign who only cheated on me.I stared at her and chuckled, "Life is really amazing, isn't it? I'd never known that you were at that school. You used me, I used you... and now we're here..." I painted a smile on my face, amazed by our situation."Yes, I can see that!" she responded."So, what do you do for a living?" I asked and she was quiet for a while. She sipped her drinks and her cute tiny lips curved into a smile."I'm looking for work for now... But unfortunately, I couldn't find one... It was hard especially since my mom and my younger brother depends on me," she smiled, her tone was a bit cracked. I could see the lonel
Six..Cally's POVI was in a panicking setting as I opened the door and entered, my mom was there seating on our old wood bank seat, with my brother who was next to him reading something as he was writing on his book."Good morning, mom, good morning, David," I awkwardly waved at them and they both looked at me at the same time. David faced looked confused while my mother was a bit upset."You better text or call us if you are not going home. How is your application for a job?" she asked in a low tone, which I didn't expect, I thought she would yell at me as she did on the phone."You're not mad, mom?" I carefully asked as I removed my shoes and put them down on the shoe rack next to me.She sighed and explained to me why she suddenly yelled at me. It wasn't intentional, it's my brother, David, fault."I'm not mad at you," she responded."Yo
Seven... Cally's Povs My brother and mother were peacefully sleeping when my best friend, Sabrina called on skype. I hurriedly went outside of the house, making sure I would not wake them up. "Hey," her voice was all excited the moment I answered her call. "OMG! You dyed your hair! It looks great on you," I said as I stared at her Harlequin hair colour. She was stunning, Sabrina never failed to amaze me every time we talk. She was the only best friend I ever got. Haiist, I miss her. "Oh, thank you. Well, you know, I got heartbroken...again, and I want to have some self-confidence, you know making myself prettier," she laughed and yeah, my friend Sabrina was always heartbroken, I didn't know why, but whatever reason it was, the guy should regret hurting my best friend. She's extremely beautiful, in fact, she's my idol; she's nice, hot, sexy, pretty and rich, and in addition, she is smart but I am smarter than her of course. Haha.
Eight...Cally's POVI woke up because of the smell of fried rice with eggs and hotdogs that was cooked by my brother, David.I got up and walked straight to it and there was my brother, setting up our mini yet a comfy table."Good morning, Cally," he said."Sister, I told yah," I folded my arms."Please, Cally. Just let me call you by your name?" he pleaded as he pouted his mouth.I rolled my eyes and said, "What's wrong with calling me sister?"He put fried rice on mom's plate and answered, "Well, I wanna be mature, and you look younger to me for me to call you sister," he rolled his eyes making me giggle. Yeah, my younger brother had matured, his voice, his height, his masculines, and he honestly look older than I am."Do you like how baby face your sister is?" I teased and he chuckled."Cally...""I said sister!" I interrupted.
Nine...Nate's POVChecking the number that Cally gave me glinted guffaw on my mouth. I couldn't believe that I expected her that she would give me her real number. What she gave me was someone else's number. I tried to find her as well to the place where I drop her off but I couldn't find her there. I speculated that she also tricked me with that. It's not her address what a clever woman.'She's really something!' I chuckled as I deleted the number she gave me. I didn't want to let a stranger number on my contacts."Come in!" I shouted softly when I heard a knock on my office's door. And there was Mr. Santos."Sir, Miss Reign had a call from Stanley Jewelry Magazine, they wanted her to be their cover magazine model. Miss Reign want to talk about it with you," he said."Did they call Reign directly? Not the management?" I asked and Santos nodded his head as a y
