Frustrated (10)

Day by day he's feeling something he shouldn't feel. He shouldn't be bothered if Grace won't talk anymore, or if Grace doesn't show any emotions anymore, he shouldn't feel bothered by Grace lack of interest, he shouldn't be alarmed if he can't scent her,

he shouldn't be concerned about the distance Grace made from everyone, he shouldn't be bothered that their baby is always neglecting Grace and prefer him over Grace,

he shouldn't feel bothered about Grace feels. He shouldn't fucking bother!!!!

He's frustrated because he is.

He is fucking bother by everything.

And the big question is...

WHY?

He feels like clowning himself. He doesn't understand what's happening to him. He feels disregarded, gloomy but why. Simple...

Because of Grace.

He feels guilty without knowing the reason. His heart is scratching. His chest is sober; he feels like a criminal without doing any crime. What did he do to feel like this?

He knows but just not accepting it like a coward.

He came home after the long hours of working. He got late tonight because of the meeting and some work he has to do.

He entered the house and sigh, the same gloomy feeling in the air and darkness. He closes the door behind him, goes towards the sofa and sits there. Losing his tie from his neck and sign out of tiredness, he leaned his head at the back of the couch and closed his eyes.

thinking about the past

"Hey, Aaron, welcome back." Grace came into the living room and greeted him with a beautiful smile and soft eyes. Aaron just hummed tiredly.

"How was your day?" Grace asked softly. He sat down beside him.

Silence.

She bites her lips at the lack of response from Aaron. "Do you want me to massage your head?" Aaron opened his eyes in annoyance.

"Can you shut up for a second!" Grace flinched back and nodded, looking down, muttered a small 'sorry.'

Minutes passed, and Aaron still didn't say anything, and his scent was telling how annoyed and tired he was, so Grace stood up after informing him that she's setting the table for dinner.

Not like Aaron even cares if she is here or not.

---------------------------

Aaron opened his eyes and leaned forward. He looked up towards the stairs to see no one; he looked beside him to see no one. No Grace to annoy him...

He's alone....just like he wanted before for Grace to leave him alone.

But how does he?

These scenarios always came to his mind and haunted him about how he treated Grace in the past. But now why his heart feels heavy to even think about it, it never did before. He never missed Grace's presence back.

He rubbed his face and stood up, going towards the kitchen in the hope of seeing Grace waiting for him at the table like she always did before.

But there was no one; not even her scent was there. He sighs and looks at the food that is placed neatly on the table.

Again he remembered the past scenarios.

"Oh, you came" Grace woke up from her nap on the table where she was leaning onto. With food covered to make it stay warm. Aaron ignored her.

"You are late again today."

"I have work to do, not like you to be always inside the house doing nothing" Aaron coldly said. Grace feels hurt hearing it but shrugged it off to not feel too bad.

"What are you doing here?."

"I was waiting for you," she softly said.

"For what?" Aaron was going upstairs. Grace stood up from the chair.

"To eat dinner together, a-aren't you eating?"

"No, I am not hungry" he was climbing up but stopped when Grace called for him.

"B-but I already made dinner at least a little. I also didn't eat yet" Aaron sighs and turned around to look at her.

"So what? Did I tell you to wait for me?" Grace looked down and shook her head slowly.

"We didn't get the time to spend together, you are always busy at work, so I thought eating dinner together will be good" she muttered softly.

"So what do you want me to do! Leave my work and stay at home doing nothing just like you!! And waste my time being in your presence!!" Aaron shouted rudely and coldly, not caring about the tears that left Grace's eyes and hurt that showed on her face and went away from there, leaving his mate to sob silently.

Aaron grabs the handle of the chair and closes his eyes tightly. At that time, the tears and the hurt on her face didn't affect him but now when he remembers his mates face......., it tore his heart.

He opened his eyes and took a deep breath to get rid of heaviness in his chest, but nothing happened. He sat at the chair where once Grace sat always but now he can't get the chance to even see her face for a whole day, let alone sitting with her to eat food.

He opened the lid and looked at the food, not feeling any appetite anymore. But he doesn't want Grace's hard work to go to waste, so he starts eating. Now if he were the past Aaron, he would've never cared about that and leave the table to sleep.

But it's not the case anymore.
