"Don't touch me!" he growled and pushed her away. "You are in command here. You should know the basic needs of your pack members. You can’t even manage to deal with this kind of issue."

He degraded him. Though their king's statement was not completely bogus, he was trembling with rage, trying to reign his wolf at bay. Alphas don’t like to be disrespected or see their mate get hurt.

But the matter at hand was entirely different. If they made a stupid move, defying him would mean death. The last thing he wanted was to get his head rolling on the ground and get his mate harmed.

Luna Cile was trying to appease his mate.

"Calm down, Xavie" she mind-linked him. Although her emotions were also riled up, they knew they were at fault.
