Thalia's pov

I heaved an exasperated sigh, entering into my car. I didn't know I could pull through in the house like that. Insisting that since Mirelle was so perfect in the mother role and wanted to be Eirik’s wife badly, she should do the necessary work needed.

I drove out of the compound and headed straight to an exclusive cafeteria. I texted Lorion in the morning about meeting up and he agreed.

The fact that I didn't even know much about this Lorion man but he made me so comfortable with him. I was supposed to be scared that he might do something to me or my family but if he wanted to, he would have done it already. Besides, he hasn't told any lies yet.

"Thalia..." Lorion called enthusiastically.

I sat opposite him. Goodness me. He looks like freshly naked and baked bread straight out of the oven. How can a man be so gorgeous and looking heavenly?

"You are staring, Thalia." Lorion pointed out with a lazy smile.

I snapped out of it, clearing my throat in awkwardness. I was just

Eirik’s pov "Were you able to get through to her?" I asked a female assistant. She paused for a few seconds, "I called her earlier. Her response was strange. It sounded like she would be on her way but she never arrived here until the meeting ended."The situation was grave. My company suffered a backlash because of one of the products that was released two days ago. It was a clinical tool. Several rumors sprung up. Some said we weren't licensed to produce clinical tools that could be used in surgeries because it could endanger someone's life.Others said the company was just an enterprise, we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves to produce what isn't needed just because we wanted to belong in a market. The backlash was terrible. I had to schedule an urgent meeting so that measures to be taken can be discussed. I wouldn't allow my years of hard work in my company go down the drain because of one product backlash.Yet, Thalia never came. I didn't cause a fuss about her suddenly appearing

Thalia's pov Lorion has helped me for more than three years. I believe he wouldn't do anything to hurt William. He knows my son is the only one I have. He wouldn't do anything to hurt us.Rachel on the other hand was also my friend. I have known her for so many years, ever since I got married to Eirik. She has helped me in many ways and always considered me a friend even when I didn't. She wouldn't tell lies to me."You can admit him." I said, "I just want my son to be fine."Rachel nodded, glancing over at William. "I will send him over to one of the VIP wards. Do not worry, he will be fine." She assured me.I nodded, walking over to William. "I am sorry, baby." I was negligent in my duty to take care of him. I just hoped he would be fine very soon and I must stay with him throughout. William was transferred to a ward where he was changed to hospital wear. I sent a message to his school, stating that he wouldn't be coming for a short period of time. At least, till he gets better.M

  • My Husband, My Son, My Betrayal    Who to trust?

Thalia's povI couldn't say a word. I left Lorion's place without another word. My head has been occupied with what he told me. Was I trying to help Eirik instead of having my revenge on him?For three years, I was consumed with anger. I hated Eirik to the point of wanting to destroy him but I can't explain what has been stopping me.Recently, I found out Eirik’s assistant has been removing important details from Eirik’s work calendar. As a busy person, he never checked whatever his assistant gave to him. He just went along with it.The way I found it, I was supposed to hold onto it. After gathering enough information, I would reveal the assistant's hidden intentions in front of everyone. First, the assistant will be gone, causing a loss of 'good' staff at Eirik’s end. From there, I would start striking back one after the other until I became satisfied but instead, I revealed my first card to Eirik the moment I found out. Why? I couldn't explain why I did that. There was no way I woul

Thalia's pov Why would Lorion have cameras all over his house? Was he afraid of armed robbers or unwanted visitors? He was probably looking at me right now. I needed to leave first. I closed the room and hurried downstairs. The maid had already thought I left though so I just had to leave before Lorion walked back into the house. All of a sudden, the door was thrown open. Lorion walked in, staring at me on the couch where I was playing the TV remote. I had sensed he would be back as soon as he saw me but I didn't expect it would be so quick.I didn't bother to run. There was no need to. I didn't do anything wrong. Why should I run? If I ran, I would be proving to him that I was guilty of something and he may suspect me.But something else troubled me. If Lorion was actually innocent and not hiding anything, why did he rush down home as soon as he saw me in his camera? He could have just called. It means he wanted to stop me from doing something he thought I might have in mind."Lori

Thalia's pov Lorion. I was a bit confused about everything. It surely looked very fishy. What if I was wrong about Lorion and my mom was right about her warnings?First, he took William to a hospital without my consent. He explained he didn't want me to worry and since it was something he could handle, there was no need to be too angry at him.But if there were indeed test results, why didn't he show them to me? I went to his house but he didn't relay any doctor's message. He didn't even explain to me what the doctor said was wrong with William. What if I trusted the wrong person?"I trust him, Rachel. I trust Lorion." I don't know if I just stated the fact or I was just trying to convince myself that Lorion wouldn't do anything to harm William and I.Rachel nodded, "I will run some tests and from there, we can know what the problem actually is."William's face suddenly looked pale as he rested his head on my arm. I became worried. He was indeed sick. Thank goodness I brought him her

  • My Husband, My Son, My Betrayal    Test results

Thalia's pov "Mom, don't be mad at uncle Lorion." William murmured against my chest. He was staying home today. I was yet to be sure of what could have gone wrong with his stomach yesterday. He was admitted for hours for God's sake. I have always been careful of what I feed to him. How could the stomach ache have been so severe?"I am not angry at uncle Lorion anymore. He didn't do anything wrong and...I apologized to him." I explained.William lifted his head and smiled warmly at me before placing his head back. "Where are we going?" He asked.I didn't say anything else. We arrived at the destination already. I helped William down the car, held his hands and walked into the familiar hospital. Straight to the doctor's office but we needed to wait a little as the doctor was busy with an emergency. "Mom, why are we in another hospital? I don't want any more IV fluids, please." William pouted, hugging my arms tightly.I chuckled, rubbing his head. I have never seen anyone else who was
