Chapter Six.

I was sitting in the living room downstairs the next day, still inwardly fuming at the devil of a sister that I had. I had nothing with Tolu, except the beginning of a friendship, but thanks to my inability to ignore Davina’s taunts and pay no attention to her pointless words, I had made her think that I had something with him.

“Would you like some juice, sister?” Davina winked at me as she poured a glass for herself.

“No, thank you. Sister.” I said the word ‘sister’ with as much faked sweetness as she did. Davina only laughed like one would when they saw a silly child display it’s antics.

She did not tell our mother about what she found out about Tolu yesterday. Hopefully, she would not try to spill the beans today. The plastic beans.

“Mother might come home soon.” Davina smiled. “Well, I hope she does because she’s in for a very juicy secret.”

“No. No she would not. It’s not even time for her to have her periodic bi-weekly yoga.” I rolled m
