chapter 5

LUNA ALEX

Spending time with Liz and the kids turned out not to be so bad. I was beginning to see some improvement in Liz, but I still remained cautious. This was not the first time that she had made it seem like she was changing, before resorting back to her old ways. We got to see the bears, tigers and the many different types of birds. Afterwards, we took the kids to the restaurant to get some dinner.

"Okay birthday girl, what will it be?" I asked looking down at her.

"This." She smiled before pointing at the picture of the hamburger and fries.

"Okay." I wrote down her order along with Tom, Jerry and Liz's. I handed the order to Melissa.

"By the way, a man came by looking for you." She told me after handing her father the order.

"Who was he?" I grabbed cups and filled them up with lemonade.

She shrugged. "Don't know he just says he wanted to talk to you."

I groaned. "Please don't tell me it was that guy that was trying to get me to sell this place."

"What? You're selling the restaurant?" Liz asked coming up from behind me.

"What? No!" I shook my head. "An older gentleman came by and asked me to sell this place to his boss. And I said no of course."

"Well, I don't know if we're talking about the same guy. This dude was hot. Literally the hottest guy I've ever seen." She exaggerated.

"And he came here to see Alex." Melissa nodded. "Wonder why?" Liz smiled evilly at me.

"Don't get ahead of yourself I don't even know the man." I placed the drinks in front of the kids before walking back over to the counter.

"Well, he seems to know you." I rolled my eyes and headed to the back to check on our orders.

I had just locked the door and was walking to my car when I saw her. It was the first time that I had seen her since my father's funeral. As soon as she steps foot in, I had her escorted out. There was no way in hell that I was gonna let her come and make everything about her. My father hated her and I have no idea why she would come in the first place.

"What do you want?" I asked angrily.

"Hi, sweetie." She smiled brightly at me. "I missed you." She started to come closer to me when I put my hand up stopping her. I noticed that her hair had grown a lot since the funeral. She was wearing dark jeans and a yellow V-neck and her hair was pulled into a tight ponytail.

"If you miss me so much why did you leave?" I asked the women who birth me and broke my dad's heart when she left us.

Her smile faded. "That's actually why I came here to talk to you about." She ignored me and came and wrapped her arms around me.

"About what?" I brushed her off.

"Why I left."

ALPHA RYAN

Every time I went to Mel's Diner the owner was M.I.A., so I decide I would give it a few more days before I made another appearance.

"Come in," I yelled to the person on the other side of my office door. In walked Lily, she was wearing her pajama with her hair in a bun and her reading glasses on. "Hey, long time no see." For the last few days, Lily has not only been ignoring me but also avoiding me by any means possible.

"Hey." She sat down in the chair that was centered in front of my desk. "So I thought about what you said and you were right. I do need to focus more on my school work. And I sorry for trying to undermine your authority."

After our argument, Lily tried to call our parents to try to get them to convince me that what I did was wrong and that I should talk with the principal who was a part of our pack to get her from going to summer school. They ended up phoning me and telling me what she did.

"I accept your apology." She came over to give me a hug and a kiss on the cheek before going back to her seat. "I know that I need to focus more on school, which I promise I am. I been going to summer school and even staying after for extra help."

I knew that she was only saying and doing all this so that I would let her go to the Summer Moon Bash. "I know what you are trying to do." She sighed.

"Please, Ryan! I've already bought a dress and everything. You can talk to my teachers to see that I really am improving."

"I am gonna check. And if what you say is true then you can go."

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" She said jumping up and down. "I promise you won't regret it. And after I will continue to keep my grades up."

"Okay, I will call your teacher in the morning." Today was Thursday and the young wolves were set to leave Friday morning. So, tomorrow would be the last day to make my decision.

" Okay, go to sleep, you have school tomorrow."

After talking to Lily teacher I found out she has been telling the truth, her grades has been improving and she had been going to summer school every day. I agreed to let her go but only if she continued to keep her grades up.

"If your grades drop after this party you can say goodbye to your birthday party."

"Fine." She rolled her eyes.

Before I allowed her to go I need to make sure that her dress was appropriate. I had already approved of the bikini that she was planning on wearing to the beach party so all was left was the dress for the party.

Being that I attended the Summer Moon Bash a lot I was very aware of how the girls there would dress. On top of that, there were lots of alcohol and drugs. Rogues sometimes took their intoxicated state as a chance to pull off some crazy plan. In the earlier years, they had even tried to kidnap the young she-wolfs. That is why I was making sure that I was sending more than enough guards to watch over them.

After 10 minutes she finally had come out the bathroom. She was wearing a spaghetti strapped yellow dress that stopped at her thighs, it also had a fairly deep plunged that showed off a great amount of her cleavage.

"Ryan, please don't overreact. It's not that bad."

"It's too short and your cleavage is showing," I said. "Maybe we can find a dress that more appropriately."

"We leave tomorrow, Ryan."

"It's also little too tight, and your stuff is showing." I covered my eyes. If I couldn't stand to see my sister this way I damn sure didn't want other people too. "I don't know about this dress."

"Ryan." She pouted. "Please, this is the dress for me."

"Lily you're fifteen, there is no way I'm letting you wear this."

"Are you serious?" She dramatically stomped her foot.

"As a heart attack."

"No way!"

"Welp! Guess you're not going." I walked out her room, and down the stairs. She followed behind me.

"Fine."

"I also want to drop you off at the party." I lied. There was no way that I was making the long trip to Crescent Moon Pack just to drop her off. I was simply just messing with her.

"Are you serious?" She yelled. "That's gonna be so embarrassing."

"You know, back when I was in high school girls would have gone crazy if I said I was gonna walk them into the Summer Moon Bash."

Even though the intended purpose of it was to find you mate, not too many people took it as serious as they did before. A lot of younger wolves took it as a time to party and hook up with people.

"Well, this is a new day." She argued.

"Well, you have no other choice."
