LOGINRonan and Kai came back later in the night. The mansion was quiet, the lights dimmed in the sitting room as they entered. Mira was there, pacing back and forth with worry clear on her face. She turned to one of Ronan’s men standing nearby. “Have you seen Aurelia?” she asked, her voice urgent. The man nodded no, his expression neutral. Ronan paused on his way to the bar side, then turned to them. “What do you mean? You guys went out together,” Ronan said, his tone sharpening as he realized something was wrong.“Yes, we did, but I haven’t seen her since we came back. She’s not even in her room,” Mira replied, her hands fidgeting as she spoke.“Find her now,” Ronan muttered, already getting angry at the situation. His jaw clenched, the wolf inside him stirring with protectiveness and frustration.Almost immediately, Joe entered carrying unconscious Aurelia in his arms, with his men behind him. “Who is this lady?” Joe asked, looking around the room.Ronan rushed toward him and carefully t
When the house was quiet, Aurelia sneaked out of her room. The hallway was dimly lit, the mansion feeling unusually still after the events of the day. She tiptoed downstairs carefully, her bare feet silent on the cool floor. No one was there, the sitting room empty, the lights low. She took the exit to check outside. Luckily, Ronan’s car wasn’t there, so he wasn’t back yet. Her heart pounded as she moved toward the basement, but she paused and hid immediately when she heard footsteps. She pressed herself against the wall, holding her breath as she saw three men coming out of the basement. One of them tried to lock the door, but the other stopped him. “Don’t lock it,” the man said. “What do you think?” the other asked. “Leave it. We will be back soon anyway, and she can’t escape in that state,” the man replied. They left the door unlocked and walked away, their footsteps fading down the hall. Aurelia came out of her hiding place after witnessing all that. She looked toward the part
Ronan pushed the door to where Selene was locked, and they all entered the dimly lit room. The air was thick with tension, the faint smell of metal and fear hanging heavy. Selene was chained to the wall, her body tense as she watched them come in. The fear in her face was very visible, her eyes wide and her breathing quick. Her mind raced with thoughts of what they might do to her, the chains rattling slightly as she shifted uncomfortably. The men that came with Joe started bringing out the equipment from the bags they had been carrying, tools that looked sharp and intimidating, designed for one purpose only. Selene’s eyes darted to the items, her face paling further.“What is this about? What are you trying to do?” Selene asked, her voice shaky but trying to sound defiant.“You better start talking before I tell them to start because they are very happy with it,” Ronan muttered to Selene, his voice cold and low as he stood in front of her.“Who assisted you in doing that to my woman?
Soon when Aurelia got ready, she headed downstairs. The mansion felt quieter now after the morning’s events, but the energy in the air was still charged. She met Mira already dressed and sitting at the dining table, munching on her food with a satisfied look on her face.“Took you long enough,” Mira said, looking up from her plate. She paused for a second, her eyes narrowing slightly. “And why is your cheek flushed?” Mira asked, then her eyes widened a little. “Don’t tell me you were busy getting dick down while I’m here waiting all day for you,” Mira exclaimed, her voice loud and teasing.“Shut up, you unfiltered lady. And besides, I wasn’t getting dick down,” Aurelia said, blushing deeply as she tried to avoid her friend’s knowing gaze.“If that’s not the case, then why is your face red?” Mira pressed, leaning forward with a grin.“It’s just…” Aurelia started, but a car horn was heard outside, cutting her off. “Aria is here, so let’s go,” she said quickly, escaping her curious frien
At the bar in the mansion, Ronan sat with a glass in hand, discussing the latest updates with Kai. The room was quiet except for the low murmur of their voices and the occasional clink of ice in the glass. Ronan’s mind was partly on the conversation, but his thoughts kept drifting upstairs to Aurelia.“I’m heading down already. Aria will be here soon, so you better get your ass ready and go out with your twin sister while I go find my man,” Mira’s voice was heard from upstairs, loud and cheerful.“Come on, Mira, it still feels a little awkward alone with her. Let’s go together. It will be fun and you know it,” Aurelia replied from upstairs, her voice carrying a mix of hesitation and excitement.“Alright, fine. Start dressing up. I will join you soon,” Mira, who was downstairs, replied as she cat-walked toward Kai with a playful sway in her hips.Ronan chuckled, then stood up from where he was seated and headed upstairs, his steps purposeful. He left Kai behind with a quick nod, the co
A knock came on the door, soft but insistent. Ronan lifted his head slightly, careful not to disturb Aurelia, who was still sleeping soundly on his chest. The room was quiet, the only sound the steady rhythm of her breathing. Kai entered the room, his steps measured as he closed the door behind him.“The weapons are delivered,” Kai said as he walked in, his voice low but clear.“Shuuuu,” Ronan told him, holding a finger to his lips to keep him quiet. He adjusted Aurelia slowly on the bed, moving her gently so she wouldn’t wake. She stirred slightly but settled back into sleep, her face peaceful for the first time in days. Ronan watched her for a moment, his hand brushing a strand of hair from her forehead before he grabbed his shirt and pulled it on. He left the room with Kai, closing the door softly behind them. They walked down the hallway in silence for a few steps before Ronan spoke. “Has the money been transferred yet or did he pay in cash?” he asked while buttoning his shirt.“H
