"There are a few whose commitments to the Kish remain unwavering, Richard." Mr. Ricardo managed to find his voice.

Despite the calmness in his face, the fear in his voice was unmistakable.

He turned towards me as if he wanted to know what I thought, but if only he knew I was about to say the same thing before Richard stepped in.

Deep within me, I was glad Richard had decided to step in, and with the determination I saw in his eyes, I was certain I had nothing to worry about.
