2025-08-13 16:34:59“Mr MacMillies, good to see you here” Mr Edwards said sitting on the chair next to Eric.
Eric raised his head, looked at him, and went back to looking at his phone not acknowledging him. But Edwards can't have that.
“Mr MacMillies, news of you getting married is all over everywhere,I just wanted to congratulate you. You should have invited us” Mr Edwards said again with a sky smile.
“Thanks Mr Edwards, but my marriage is meant to be private, and I invited whom I want to invite” Eric said, dropping his phone on the table.
Before they left the office, Luck had information on the people that he had business deals with in the underground area are around, he told Eric about it, and the location, and Eric decided to come down and check it out.
Looking around in the cafe there's no one suspicious, and right before him this bald headed Edwards is here.
He sighs
“I understand, I bet she is pretty that was why you decided to make it private, I was actually thinking you had one or two things with my daughter,so I didn't really believe the news.” Edwards said with a smile that didn't get to his heart.
“Well Mr Edwards I would love to continue this discussion with you, but as you can see I am a very busy man, and also a married one, I wouldn't want my wife waiting for me at home. We will talk another time or never” Eric said standing up signalled Luck and they left.
“Ahhh!, that son of a bitch, I will get you one day” Edwards said. He looked around, picked out his phone and made a call.
“How is the distribution going so far?” he asked.
“It's been going well sir, 2%of the Entertainment company shares and being transferred to your company” the other voice said.
“Just 2%? Why are you so slow? He just left here now” Edwards said.
“We will be fast about it sir” the other voice said.
Edwards hissed and ended the call.
“Such a nuisance” he stood up and left.
“Are you serious Eugene?” Avery asked, she just left Amy's and on her way home.
“Yes ma'am, the doctor said the wound was so deep that it went straight to the heart, it wasn't an accidental kill, but rather It was an intentional kill.” Eugene said.
“Is the place of crime cleared out and given to the local police?”
“Yes ma'am, everything was cleared out.” Eugene replied
“What about the families, are they being notified?” She asked.
“I will do that right away ma'am “ Eugene
“Alright, do that and go home straight” she said and ended the call.
She sighed, Andrew Richardson is really a pain In her neck.
Her phone rings again she looks at it
“Kimberly” was written on it
“Hello” she answered
“Hello ma'am, you didn't show up for the meeting, the meeting was adjoined so I sent details of them to your email” Kimberly said.
“Ok Kimberly, thank you and have a blessed day” Avery said and ended the call.
She sighed, Andrew Richardson issues have made her forget to show up at the meeting in the office. After this Andrew Richardson case, she's definitely going to treat herself to some vacation, some place hidden from her father's eye.
She parked her car at the front of the house, looked around and didn't see any other parked car, looked at the door and went straight inside. Seems Eric hasn't returned home.
She got inside and sat on the couch. What a day, she looks around. Yep,she's the only one in the house,she stood up and looked for the kitchen , after a while and opening the doors she finally found the kitchen, she went into the kitchen and poured herself a glass of water. She gulped it all in and sighed, She raised her head and……
“Holy shit!” She screamed.
“What the hell are you doing here?” She screamed again. She was about to drop the glass when she Saw a shadow,when she raised her head, she saw Eric looking at her with his hawk like eyes
“Need I remind you that this is my house”Eric said walking into the kitchen.
“Huh yeah, I'm sorry,when did you come in?” she asked.
Eric walked towards the fridge and took water from it and turned into a glass cup and drank it all.
“I will be in the living room waiting for you, we will have a discussion” Eric said and left.
“What a rude son of a Gun” Avery said and dropped her cup and went to the sitting room.
She saw him sitting and operating his phone, she sighed and said far away from him.
Eric didn't raise his head up. He pushed the paper on the table towards her and continued what he was doing.
Avery looked at him and scoffed, took the paper and read its content, her eyes widened open.
What the hell!

“Eric, stay put!” Avery shouted from her bedroom. She could hear the noise downstairs. She looked at her in the mirror and sighs. What's she going to do with that boy?
