Laugher could be heard from the living room. Avery smiled at their joke.

“You know I remember when Eric used to run away here, he never let anyone touch him aside Ms Maryanne” Mr MacMillies said smiling.

“Hm, dad I don't remember that” Eric said looking at his phone.

“Well I do vividly, My dear Avery, do you know that Eric once said he's not going to get married cause women are trouble and irritating.” Mr MacMillies said.

“Really?” Avery asked looking at Eric

“Of course, he never let anyone, not even a lady come close to him aside Ms Maryanne, that's why he decided to employ her when he built his own home, but it turns out that he finally outgrown it” Mr MacMillies said smiling.

Avery smiled looking at Eric, he must have been a bubbling kid when he was little. I wonder how he looked when he was little.

“That's too much talk for tonight dad, you should go to bed now” Marcy said standing up. Eric stood up too and murmured he too would love to retire to bed. They both left.

    “Eric, stay put!” Avery shouted from her bedroom. She could hear the noise downstairs. She looked at her in the mirror and sighs. What's she going to do with that boy? She carried her handbag and went downstairs. “Ms Maryanne?”she called and she descended down the stairs. She looked around and Ms Maryanne was not there.
