Jane's Point Of View

My heart is literally about to jump out of my chest. First, he served me breakfast in bed. Second, he brought his face close to mine. I couldn't help but wonder what he was about to do. Is he about to kiss me? I don't need to look in a mirror to know how I look right now, because I know I'm already red from blushing. As his face neared mine, I closed my eyes expecting his lips to close on mine and I was ready to welcome him. But his mouth simply brushed the corner of my lips and I opened my eyes, surprised and embarrassed at the same time. I looked at him and that's when I realized that he had simply wanted to help me remove the food from my face and he did so with his mouth and also chewed the food he had removed. I couldn't help but feel more embarrassed because I had thought he wanted to kiss me and I was willing to let him.
