Chapter Forty Two: Deeper Feelings

It was almost late at night when they played. Everybody was pleased with this game. Clark couldn’t sleep, so he walked out onto the porch and opened the beer again. He was looking somewhere.

“Why are you still up?” said Dylan.

He sat down beside him, took a bottle of beer, and drank it.

“Why are you here? Are you going to hit me because of the challenge earlier?” Clark asked

Dylan smirked. “I’m not shallow, Clark, you know what I mean.”

He drank a beer, and he spoke again. “It’s okay for me that you did the dare and not another man. If Riki or Matt did the dare, I could grab Gaby away, even with Matt’s cousin. I will be jealous, big time.”

Clark chuckled a bit but doesn’t say anything. He went back to drinking.

“How do you feel?” Dylan asked.

“All right! I don’t have a sore throat anymore,” said Clark

“Your nurse is good!” said Dylan on one occasion, drinking beer. So, how are you feeling? How do you do?”
