Ashina's hand never left mine and I was grateful for that. Addressing the people today was going to be the toughest thing I have ever done and the Alpha of this pack simply because I have seen that I haven't earned all their trust throughout the time that I have reigned. The pain of betrayal cut deep because to think that the pack members, my own family, had believed Maya's lies and turned against me was very unsettling and it was a wound that would take a very long time to heal.
