Blaze continued to bend forward without breaking eye contact. His face was now a few inches away from hers, his breathing heavy.

Triana forgot how to breathe when she sensed his gaze lingering on her lips. She pursed her lips into a thin line.

Blaze stretched his hand and picked up a pillow. In the next moment, he stood up straight and walked up to the sofa.

"Phew," Triana breathed out a deep sigh. "Scoundrel," she murmured, glaring at him. She was angry at his behavior. Blaze didn't have to get too close to her if he just wanted to pick up the pillow.

"You have got such a big packhouse," Triana snapped. "Can’t you arrange a room for me?"

"Why do you need a separate room?" Blaze asked flippantly as he put the pillow on one side of the sofa.

Triana gnashed her teeth and shot him a scorching glare. "We are not supposed to share a room," she snarled.

"Why?"

"Why? We are not boyfriend girlfriends. You are not my mate."

"Are you sure?" Blaze glanced back at her over his shoulder.

Shit she did the right thing just folding and joining a different pack. Her pack was snatched from her so easily that they may have had a point removing her from the position. She is not mentally capable in terms of leadership. She has no control over her emotions and is easily out maneuvered.
