**Elena**

I didn’t even scream. I couldn’t. Everything froze.

But Xavier..

He moved faster than thought.

"No!"

His arm shot out, hand wrapping around the blade as it came toward me.

Flesh met steel. A sickening sound.

Blood splattered across the floor.

His blood.

“Xavier!” I gasped.

He didn’t even flinch.

Didn’t look at his hand.

He twisted the knife out of her grip and, with one swift motion, hit the side of her neck with just enough force to drop her.

Trisha collapsed right into his arms.

He caught her. Slowly lowered her to the floor.

And then… he swayed.

“Xavier…” I rushed forward.

His hands… were soaked. The gash along his palm was deep, red pouring in thick streams onto the floor.

“Shit…Xavier, your hand…oh my god…”

I grabbed a cloth from the table, pressing it against the wound as he leaned against the wall.

“I’m fine,” he muttered. But his face was pale.

“No you’re not! You’re bleeding so much…”

My hands were shaking.

I pressed harder on the cut. “We have to get you to the ho

**Logan**“You don’t look like a kidnapper, though.” She shifted slightly.I blinked.Okay… that’s new.“What’s with the sudden change of tone?” I asked, tilting my head slightly, trying to read her.She turned sharply and gave me the glare.the kind that could slice through steel. If looks could kill, I’d be six feet under.“I said thank you,” she muttered. My brows lifted, a small grin tugging at my lips. “You’re welcome.”“But don’t let it get to your head,” she added quickly, arms folded, chin up.There she is again.I chuckled. “Wow. You switch up so fast. It’s like emotional whiplash.”She smirked. “Wanna see another side of me? One you’ll really hate?”I raised both hands in surrender. “No, thank you. I’m good with this version.”“Good.” Her expression shifted again. “Enough with the talk. Who are you, really?”I raised a brow. “I already told you. Logan. And yes, I’m..”“I know your name,” she cut in. “And that you’re a king. But where am I? What is this place? And…”She trail

**Logan**“Did you actually faint, or was that just a stunt to get me worked up?” I asked flatly, arms folded as I stared down at my mother where she lay in bed like a dying swan. She cracked one eye open, dramatic as always.“I’m in shock, Logan. Can’t you see that?” she snapped, trying to sit up.She let out a pained little moan…louder than necessary…grabbing at her side like she’d just been stabbed.“Help me up,” she demanded, clearly expecting me to rush to her aid.I didn’t move. I wasn’t falling for that today.“When are you going to stop this madness?” Her voice trembled. “What you said out there… it was a joke, wasn’t it?”I took a breath, steadying my voice. “It wasn’t. And the sooner you accept that, the better for you, Mother. She’s my…”“Stop. Stop it!” she hissed, her hand flying up like the very word would burn her ears. “I don’t want to hear that vile word from your mouth.”Of course not. She couldn’t even bring herself to say it. Fiancee. It was disgusting to her.“F

**Logan**The sharp crash of breaking glass echoed through the balcony..loud.I froze. That wasn’t just a dropped glass. That sounded like a whole damn table tipping.I glanced over the railing, eyes narrowing at the mess below. And then I saw her.Hospital robe. Bare feet. Face flushed...Wine bottles lay shattered around her. A red river spreading across the marble floor. The small wine stack that had been neatly set up? Completely wrecked.Standing across from her, all attention seeking was Irene.Of course.I didn’t wait, I hit the elevator button. What the hell is she doing?Irene’s voice rang out. “Who let this thing wander in here?” she cooed loud enough for everyone nearby to hear. The elevator doors slid open, and I stepped out into chaos.“Apologize,” the lady snapped, loud and clear. “You pushed me.”Irene blinked, clearly stunned she had the audacity to speak. “Excuse me? You bumped into me.”“That’s a lie.” She didn’t back down. “You saw me coming and shoved me on purpos

**Logan**ONE MONTH LATER(NORTH WEST- SILVER MOON PACK)"I'm sorry to bother you... My King... She's finally awake," the nurse said, rushing toward me.I froze mid-swing, the golf club slipping from my fingers and hitting the grass with a dull thud.Awake? My heart skipped…"Have you informed the doctor?" I asked, already reaching for the towel to wipe the sweat from my neck and hands."Yes, Your Highness. He asked that you come in immediately. He... he thinks something might be wrong."Wrong?I didn’t wait for her to explain further. My steps were fast, sharp, nearly frantic as I stormed toward the elevator that would take me to the penthouse floor. The moment the doors opened, I stepped out and strode down the hallway. The guards straightened, giving me space, and I didn’t bother acknowledging them."Where is she?" I asked the doctor outside the room."Inside. She's calm... but confused."I pushed open the door and walked in, pulling off my gloves. And then I saw her.Propped up s

**Xavier**The pain in my heart was unbearable. It felt like something sharp was lodged inside me, twisting with every breath I took.So many thoughts crept in…Why did I reject her? Why’d I let her go?What the hell is wrong with me?“Fuck it.”I turned sharply and sprinted back toward the entrance gate. The rain poured harder now, as if the sky was punishing me.I had acted irrationally. I knew it. I should’ve never spoken to her like that.Nick stood under the rain, soaked and breathless.“She wanted you to have this…” he said, holding out a flash drive.I took it from him, not even glancing at it.None of that mattered now.I jumped into the car.I needed to find her.Didn’t know what I’d say, didn’t care how far I had to drive. Hell.I just needed to see her face again.I hit the dial, No answer.Again.Voicemail.“Elena, please…” My voice cracked. “Pick up.”I started driving.Fast.I checked the sidewalks, the roads, everywhere. She couldn’t have gone far.But the roads stre

**Elena**“I... I’m sorry,” I whispered again, my voice barely hanging onto itself.“For fuck’s sake, quit saying sorry!” he snapped.I froze.Xavier ran his fingers through his hair, pacing a few steps before turning sharply.“What’s the secret that’s eating you up so bad that you had to do this to me?” he asked, eyes burning into mine. “Tell me, Elena…” His tone dropped to a whisper. “Please.”I opened my mouth, but nothing came out.You can’t. You can’t tell him. If you do, it’s over… and if you don’t…it’s still over.“I can’t…” I mumbled to myself, eyes fixed on the floor. I don’t even know if he heard me.But then he sat down, just like that, on the edge of the cold marble stairs, looking completely defeated. His hands dangled between his knees. His eyes, god… they were red.“Did you even ever love me?” he asked, and that question sliced right through my ribs.I felt my knees give way a little. “Yes…” I whispered. “Yes.” Louder now. “I’ve loved you from the very first time I saw
