“This is not what you said. I can't even recognize her. My wife, what did they do to you?”

“Don't cry like a kid. Go on and get her. She is of no use to us anymore. Haha!”

The driver painfully cried as if it can reach the heavens. The kidnappers laughed like demons from the hell.

I have seen a scene like this before and it's one of the things I'd never want to see ever again -

- a woman, naked and with legs filled with blood, and bruises all over her body, being dragged like a pig in the mud.

On the ground, Jason crawled as he extends his hand to get my attention.

Your body froze. Your mind blacked out.

“ ugh ... p - please close your eyes...”

The degree of fear I have in my heart on the night when my mom was tortured haunts me again.

Then, the leader of the kidnappers speaks again.

“Hey! What now, prince of the Connellys? Have you run the numbers for your life's worth?”

“We don't have that much money. Our company is not as well as you think! Twenty million would just be enough.”

“Don't fool me. I won't bother being in this mess if you're just worth twenty million!”

“Make it forty and I will let you go.”

“Forty million? Is this man kidding me? “

“Twenty million can't even make your little girlfriend go home in one piece. Haha!”

“Don't touch her. Listen, mister. I know that you think of our company as something big but forty million in cash is even impossible. “

From where I was, I could see Jason desperately begging for mercy trying to explain and ask for consideration.

Poor Jason, this must have been hard for him. But what can he do?

“Upsetting me does not end well, boy.”

“I'm serious. I cannot promise an amount and disappoint you. Besides, I am in no place to mess around.”

“Good boy! Now, I change my mind because you made it harder for me earlier.”

“Make it eighty and let's end this night.”

“Eighty?! You are mistaken! Maybe you are referring to our company's assets but we don't have that much cash ready.”

Oh gosh! The leader of the kidnappers even got angrier.

He came closer to Jason and lifted his head by pulling his hair. I hear the pain he is feeling through his grunts.

“Whoa! Relax, you guys. What about we all take a quick break first?”

“ I know we can come up with something better if we keep a cool head, right?”

Glad it worked! Oh-oh, he is now coming back, walking towards me.

“Men, this little woman has something to offer for us to keep a "cool" head. How does that sound? Haha!”

I forgot that these people are not humans. I should have thought that these kinds of men think with their penises.

His breath stinks as he moves his face closer to mine as he speaks. Ugh!

“Oh yes, dear! We can make some entertainment tonight. I think it would help Jason decide more quicker.”

I painfully listened to the goons laughing as they stare at me as if they want me to be naked.

“Stop! Is anybody there? Please help us! We're here!”

“stop it! What are you doing?”

We're no good for them if we're dead. They can't hurt us without getting what they want first.

“Haha! Do you think you're that smart? Who said I'll make it easy for the both of you?”

I see him giving a signal to one of his men and pointing his finger at Jason.

“Aw! Stop it!”

“Oh! That must have hurt a lot. These people are animals. They punched him hard enough to bring him to his knees again.”

“See that?! Don't be such a pain in the ass again, okay?”

“Please believe what he says. They don't have that much money on hand.”

“Haha! Who is talking about transfers? I will be needing them in cash to avoid traces. Are you a fool?”

“Millions in cash? Who can prepare that this late at night? What he's asking is impossible!”

“Oh! I am sorry. I was wrong. Yes! Twenty million in cash. We can do that, right Jason?”
