Callista put her clothes into the luggage. Then she picked out her valuables to put in her backpack. After feeling that her luggage was sufficient, she quickly headed out of the room. Her face looked puffy with reddened eyes. There were clearly traces of tears there.

Kairos stared in confusion when he saw his stepdaughter coming down the stairs with a luggage in hand and a backpack on her shoulders. They had nothing to talk about. If Callista was scheduled for a vacation with her friend or had an assignment for practice that required her to stay out of town, they usually discussed the matter at the dining table during dinner. However, this time Callista did not discuss anything.

What Kairos was thinking was the same as what Lysandra was thinking. As a mother, Lysandra had no idea about Callista's plans with the luggage.

Lysandra quickly rose to her feet, half-running over to Callista.

"What's wrong? Where are you going? Why didn't you tell me you were traveling? Have you been crying?
