SELENA

The weight of him pressed against me, warm and suffocating.

I shifted beneath him, trying to slide free, but Stephen was too heavy like a mountain of heat and flesh keeping me pinned in place. My muscles ached as I pushed against his chest again. Nothing. My strength was failing me. I could feel the fog creeping in, slow and heavy, wrapping around my brain like vines pulling me under.

No, I couldn’t fall asleep. Not here. Not like this.

But it was too late.

Darkness swallowed me whole.

**********

When I opened my eyes, sunlight poured through the tiny window above me, lighting the dusty air with a hazy golden glow. The birds outside chirped softly too cheerful for the mess I felt inside.

I was alone.

I blinked, turning my head slowly. The corner where the iron chain used to be coiled around my ankle… it was empty. My breath caught.

The chain was gone.

I sat up quickly too quickly. Pain shot between my legs, raw and sharp, and I gasped, grabbing the edge of the wooden bed for su

STEPHENThe room was quiet almost too quiet. The only sound came from the soft rhythm of her breathing, steady and deep, as she lay motionless on the bed.Selena.I sat beside her, watching the subtle rise and fall of her chest beneath the sheets. Her face was so peaceful, so heartbreakingly calm that it almost made me forget everything except for the swollen curve of her stomach, a silent reminder that something much bigger had changed. She was pregnant. With my child. My throat tightened, and I blinked slowly, trying to process the reality that had been dumped on me like a cold bucket of water. I was going to be a father. A father. The very word sounded foreign on my tongue, like it belonged to someone else’s story some other man who had been prepared, who had seen this coming. Not me.Not like this.I dragged a hand through my hair, frustration simmering beneath my skin. How had we gotten here? How had the woman I fought so hard to protect ended up in this bed, her memories wiped c

JULIAThe night air bit into my skin as I wandered down the nearly empty street, the moonlight casting long shadows that danced with every step I took. My heels clicked against the pavement sharp, angry echoes that mirrored the chaos brewing in my chest. How?How the hell did Stephen get Selena back?I had taken her far away hidden her so deep she should’ve disappeared into dust. I did everything to make sure she would never return to this pack, and yet… there she was. Standing beside him. Looking whole. Alive. Loved. My fingers curled into fists, nails digging into my palms as I struggled to breathe. I thought I was finally winning Stephen back. Thought that the way he held me, the way he pounded into me like he was starving, meant something. But no.I was nothing but a distraction. A dirty secret. He was still hers.Rage flared hot in my veins. I’d counted on Alpha Tyler. I made sure Selena ended up in his hands. Stephen wouldn’t have been reckless enough to step foot into enemy ter

STEPHENShe didn’t recognize me. Not even a flicker of familiarity in her eyes. But she would.I stepped closer, careful not to startle her. The ache in my chest throbbed with every cautious step."I would never hurt you, Selena," I said softly, my voice breaking around the edges. She flinched. Her back hit the wall, and her arms wrapped instinctively around her swollen belly like a shield. Her eyes were wide and wet with fear."You already did," she whispered. "You tried to kill my baby... you made me lose my memories."My breath caught."What?" I blinked, stunned. "Selena, I would never... I didn’t... I couldn’t do that to you."But her words echoed louder in my head than my denial. She said she lost her memories.A cold knot formed in my stomach. How could a Healer Wolf my Healer Wolf forget who she is... who I am?And then a name flashed through my mind like a thunderclap. Adam. My cousin. If he had anything to do with this, if he touched her, if he planted lies in her mind he wou

More importantly, I’ve already planted my people inside, wolves loyal only to me. Disguised as guards. Waiting for my signal. How I pulled it off? Let’s just say I have my ways. I’m Stephen this is what I do.And tonight, I’m taking back what’s mine.Selena.The main gate creaks open as I approach in a stolen patrol car, my frame hidden beneath a crisp guard’s uniform. There’s no resistance Adam’s real guards are either unconscious or worse. My men handled them quickly. The mansion looms in the moonlight, silent and still. Too still. The kind of silence that makes your instincts prickle with warning.I step out of the car and stride to the front door without hesitation. No alarms. No resistance.Everything is going according to plan.Inside, the

ADAMSomething felt off.The moment Selena and I stepped out of the boutique, a prickling sensation crawled down the back of my neck an invisible weight pressing against my shoulders. I glanced casually over my shoulder. No suspicious cars. No shadowed figures. Just the regular buzz of town life. Still, the feeling wouldn’t leave.I gripped the steering wheel tighter as we got into the car. Selena settled into the passenger seat, her fingers brushing over her belly in slow, affectionate circles. My heart clenched. She smiled, unaware, lost in the moment, admiring the new baby clothes we'd picked out.But my mind was elsewhere.Stephen.Since the engagement party, ever since I caught the hunger in his eyes when he looked at her, I knew he’d come for her. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but he would. And that terrified me more than anything.I wasn’t just protecting Selena I was holding onto her with every thread of my being. I’d built a world around her. But lately, she’d started p

  • My Stepbrother, My Alpha, My Man   CHAPTER 96

STEPHENThe moment my boots touched Nightshade soil, my blood began to boil.I hadn’t slept well in days, haunted by the image of her my Selena wrapped in another man's arms, smiling like she hadn’t once vowed herself to me. The memory of her standing next to Adam at that damned engagement party replayed in my mind like a curse. Her hand in his. Her laugh. The way she leaned into him like he was her anchor. That should’ve been me.I kept my hood low as I stepped out of the truck, my guards flanking me in silence. We weren’t here to make noise. Not yet.The Nightshade Pack was… different. Too peaceful. Children ran through the streets with painted faces, laughter echoing through the air like a celebration. Vendors lined the road with trinkets and sweets, and music played from a corner shop like there wasn’t a war history between our packs. It felt like a fantasy. Or a distraction. In my pack, smiles were earned after blood and sweat. We trained harder than we breathed. No one had time
