~ NATALIA~
“ I’m returning back to my pack, there is a matter that I need to solve. I’ll come back to you. You don’t need to worry about me. - Love, Natalia…”
This was what I wrote in a note for Knight and stuck it on the nightstand. I was leaving him alone. No matter how much I try and how long we’ve been in this relationship, I still could not convince myself to drag him to the darkness of the werewolves' world.
For I know it would only put his life at the edge of danger, and currently, after losing my father and also my mother who was gonna marry the old man Romeo Velasquez, I could not lose Knight. He is the only one that was left in this world for me.
I placed a kiss on his forehead and got up without making any noise. I walked out of the room and took a last glance at Knight. He was sleeping so peacefully that my heart shrank into the shape of an apple seed to leave him behind like this, without giving much explanation.
I shut the door behind me carefully. I took a deep breath and made my way towards the kitchen. This was the place where I had hidden my silver dagger, it was the only place where Knight never searched for anything.
I pulled it out from the cabinet. It's shine was blinding my eyes as I took it out from the sheath leather cover. It's sharpness was enough to cut out the heart of that Old Alpha Romeo Velasquez.
I’m sure he’s above 50 years old to propose to my mother to marry him who is no less than Jennifer Lopez and he was also a pervert, and at this point, I was in the mood to kill that bastard.
“You won’t be able to spend your life with my mother, Romeo Velasquez.” I gritted my teeth and put the silver dagger into its leather sheath and tugged it on my jean’s waistband.
My pack is in the northern valley and it's not so far from my current location. I bet if I would take a shortcut and run along the woods it would be a matter of a few hours and I would be standing on my land.
However, I still need to be careful while crossing other territories that I have to cross before reaching my pack. I could not risk my life by shifting into my wolf or I would become easy prey for them to track me down.
So, I ran and ran like my life depended on it and it truly did depend on it. I crossed several territories with my high speed. I still had the ability to cross miles in a few minutes without shifting into my wolf. The moon goddess had gifted me with this gift.
In no time, I was standing under a tree that was not so far from my pack. I looked up at the sky which used to be full of stars but now it was covered with dark clouds, painting the night a shade darker and it was suffocating me, how the breeze that used to be the combination of oceanic moisture was now full of the awful smell of metal and blood.
I’ve been away from my pack for almost three years and now it has changed into the headquarters of the devil itself.
It wounded my wolf’s soul that how much our pack had changed and it's all because of that Alpha Romeo.
“It’s time to roll, Natalia.” My wolf talked to me and a smirk ran along the corner of my lips with the thought that it’s about time to kill Alpha Romeo.
I narrowed my eyes to see the borderline of my pack but unfortunately, I could not see it clearly due to the darkness.
“Lia, I need your vision,” I told my wolf and we switched our vision. After switching my vision with my wolf Lia, I gazed at the borderline and noticed the guardian wolves were patrolling the area. They were bulkier and horrible in appearance.
“Looks like we need to knock them down, Lia.” I scoffed and ran towards them. The only sound that was buzzing the surrounding was the rattling of dried leaves underneath my feet and the wind that I was cutting through with my high speed and in a blink of an eye, before they could even think what was coming towards them, I had already knocked them down by kicking and punching the right point.
Then I was met with the bone chilling silence of the night. I spared a look at those guardian wolves. They were lying nearly dead on the dirt floor, before I turned to move towards the secret passage through the woods which leads to the secret back door of the packhouse.
“Mom, hang in there, I’ll get you out of here.” I whispered out to myself hoping my Mother could hear it but our mind links were not connected anymore.
I looked around to check if anyone was following me because my heart was beating horribly so fast that I could hear my heart beating in my ears. I was having an adrenaline rush and the sweat covered my body when I pushed open the secret door that was hidden under the old vines, giving it an old rustic look.
I went in and the door closed with a creaking sound, just like some horror movie. And the very first thing that I did was, I fished out a scent bottle from the back pocket of my jeans and sprinkled it all over my body and it pretty much covered my scent. I was hoping it could cover me until I could find my mom.
I need to make sure she was fine before killing that damned Alpha Romeo.
I inhaled a sharp breath and started moving further into the alleyway. It was too dark for a human to see through but for me, it was a piece of cake.
I took two right turns and a left turn to meet a fork point. I halted my steps to decide where I should head to. The right turn opened up on the floor of the kitchen and the left went to the library. It was best to choose the latter as it was safer than to land into the library where no one went.
I headed towards the left and I remembered walking for a minute and two until I saw the light coming through the hole.
“That’s it, we’ve reached our destination, Lia,” I told my wolf and felt my blood rushing through my veins in excitement to find my mother and end the game of Romeo Velasquez.
I opened the old wooden door and jumped out, shutting it behind me and covering it with the carpet.
I reached the door of the library and opened it to get out to find my mother.
I was rushing and barged into every room in the hope to find my mother.
Two, Three, Four… and the counting went on. I literally checked every room that I could but there was no sign of my mother. I kept searching for her until I heard a commotion.
“We have an intruder!” The voice was of a guardian wolf, following with the order to search every corner for that intruder and that intruder was me.
I gasped in horror, “No, No, No. It's too early to get caught,” I panicked to think of where I could hide and my eyes fell on the giant, black wooden carpenter double room.
It was the Alpha's Chamber that previously belonged to my father but now it must belong to the new Alpha of the Pack.
Alpha Romeo.
NATALIASitting there with Romeo, just shooting the breeze, out of nowhere, this crazy pain hit me like a freight train. Water everywhere – turns out my water broke, and I wasn't supposed to pop until next week. Talk about the unexpected, right? Now, our pack's got this rule about having to pop out your pups right here on our turf. No escaping that one. So, here I am, dealing with this delivery agony a week ahead of schedule. Romeo's flipping out, screaming for help. Pack folks start swarming in like bees, all wide-eyed and worried. Picture this: me, in the middle of a makeshift delivery room surrounded by anxious wolves. Pain's getting wild like some primal force taking over. Romeo's there, clueless as ever, and I'm just pushing through the chaos. Let me tell you, delivering twins is no joke. Contractions hit like a sledgehammer, each one dragging on for what feels like forever. The pack's trying to help, but they can't take away the grind of it all. It's a full-on battle, not just p
SYDNEYMy fingers danced nervously over the phone's keypad as I dialed Romeo's number. The urgency in my chest fueled the anxiety in my voice when he finally picked up."Romeo, it's Sydney," I blurted out, the words tumbling over each other. "I need your advice. Should I head to Natalia's now? Something just doesn't feel right, like there's an eerie cloud hanging over her due date."There was a pause on the other end, and then he asked, "What's going on?"It's hard to explain," I began, struggling to find the right words. "It's like there's something malevolent inside her, something beyond the ordinary. I can't shake this feeling that the child she's carrying isn't just a bundle of joy. It's like there's a darkness, and it's threatening both her and the baby."I could almost hear Romeo furrowing his brow on the other end. "Darkness? What do you mean?"I mean, it's as if there's an evil presence in her womb," I confessed, my voice dropping to a hushed tone. "And I'm afraid that once that chi
ELVINAAlone in the dimly lit chamber, the oppressive weight of my actions hangs in the air, suffocating me like a dense fog. The flickering candles cast dancing shadows on the intricately carved runes etched into the cold stone floor, each symbol a testament to the forbidden path I've tread. Natalia lies motionless on the altar, her presence a fragile vessel for the soul I sought to resurrect. As the cold reality settles in, doubt snakes through my mind like a relentless serpent. The initial madness that drove me to perform the forbidden ritual now morphs into a gnawing unease. Regret, thick and palpable, permeates the atmosphere, saturating the very air I breathe. What was once a desperate bid to bring back my sister now feels like a pact with shadows and echoes. A solitary tear traces a path down my cheek, its journey mirroring the torment within. Natalia, vulnerable and unconscious, is now the unwitting conduit for a force beyond her understanding. The chamber, once filled with th

Stay away from Natalia!" You could practically feel the echoes of my caution lingering in the charged air around us. Elvina's eyes were a storm of defiance as she forcefully pulled my hand away from her shoulder. Her words were sharp, cutting through the room. "You can't control me. Unless you want her to die, that is. The child she's carrying is the reincarnation of my sister, and her soul is not something anyone can dictate or tolerate."The room turned into an emotional battlefield, with unspoken truths and the weight of our complicated history thickening the air. NATALIAMy heart raced like the staccato beat of distant drums as I approached Romeo, the flickering candlelight in the dimly lit room casting shadows on my face. The air crackled with the anticipation of finally meeting my twin sister, Dahlia— a reunion I had yearned for since the moment I discovered her existence. "Romeo," I began, my voice a delicate symphony tinged with excitement, "have you managed to reach Sebastian? I can't bear the agonizing wait any longer—I need to see Dahlia."Romeo's eyes, a canvas of uncertainty, met mine as he shook his head, "I haven't been able to get in touch with him yet, Natalia."A surge of frustration tightened its grip on my chest, like a vine constricting around my heart. I knew all too well the significance of Sebastian's elusive approval, especially in light of the unique bond he shared with Dahlia. "This is unbearable," I sighed, my impatience echoing in the hushed room. The scent of aged parchment and ancient secrets hung in the air, underscor
