Chapter 160 ~ Sorely Conflicted

Of all the things I thought he was going to say, I didn't see this one coming.

"A protective spell?" I asked, trying to think. It wasn't a small pack, and there were quite a lot of things and people to cover and consider. But even then, it seemed like a good idea.

"I don’t expect you to do it alone." Elijah rushed in to say, "I would ask Maren and a couple of other witches in the pack to help as well." Elijah said and I could tell it was something he truly wanted.

"It's okay , Elijah. I'll do it. It's a whole new experience for me, but I'm sure it's something we can pull off." I said, taking his hand, "you don't have to worry." I told him, and he nodded.

"I need to go find out if the pack river is tainted as well. I'll also speak to Maren about the spell. She always needs time to prepare for expansive spells like this one, so best to tell her early." he leaned in for a kiss , "see you." he said and was already turning away before I got to say anything.
