KYLIE's pov
"Well, I'll be damned. I thought he required the relics to do that." Jason said, and I sighed. I guess we had underestimated just how much power the blood moon possessed.

ELIJAH's POV"Well, this can't be good." I murmured as Kylie froze at my side."They are spirit hounds." Kylie whispered, " they don't want us to go to a shrine.""Wel

ELIJAH's POV"Did you lot find anything?" Jason asked, when we got home. One look at our faces and he suddenly grew solemn, "by the looks on your faces, it seems you guys ran into quite a situation." Jason commented."Well, it was something." Kylie said as w
ELIJAH'S POV"Are you busy?" I asked Kylie, days after the situation at the cathedral. She looked up from the book on Norse mythology she was reading and shrugged, but when she looked at me deeply, she quickly sat up."what's going on?" "There's been an attack on a human household in a nearby town. I need to take a look. Are you up for that?" I asked her. I wanted nothing more than to keep her safe, but this was something I knew she'd want to be involved with, and she would want me to trust in how strong she was. And I did trust her."Yeah, of course. " she said, rising from the bed, "let me just change into something more battle ready." she said and went to the closet. She was ready in about ten minutes and then we were off. It was just Kylie and I because Jason was out surveying a lead. Jason always had leads. I just hope it was nothing like the cathedral this time.We arrived at the household an hour later, and I made sure to keep kylie at my side, my hand wound through hers."You
KYLIE's pov"I didn't think it meant much of anything. I mean, I thought it was like every other vision." Elijah started as his eyes took on a faraway look, "I kept asking myself at what I needed to know and at what the vision would end, but when the monks showed up with witches, I still put up a fight. The whole thing felt too real to not back.""yeah. I think I felt some of that too." I explained, my eyes fixed on him as I waited for the rest of his story."Then suddenly the witches started with their damned chants." he said and touched his temple, "each moment that passed by had me feeling like they were corrupting my mind. Infiltrating it and trying to weaken me from my mind's core. It felt that way until I felt to the ground and passed out. And then I woke up in chains." he said and looked at me, "that's all I remember." he added."I think it was just as you've said , Elijah. They did try to weaken you from your mind's core. A part of their magic must have stayed with you even af
KYLIE's pov"I don’t know what just happened, Kylie. One minute I was leaning against the car, waiting for you and Jason to come back, and then… then I thought I was looking at the bloke from the cathedral." Elijah rushed on to explain."It's okay, Elijah. It's a misunderstanding." I said calmly, when we stopped at the car, I exchanged a look with Jason, before helping Elijah into the car.The ride back home was full of silence as I tried to make sense of what had happened to Elijah. Why was he seeing the monk in someone else? I mean, it was one thing for him to see the wrong thing from afar. But after getting a good look at him, he still saw the monk, so much so that he wanted to hurt him. That had warning bells ringing in Kylie's head. They needed to head home fast, so she could get Maren's help on the matter."After the long day we've had, I think a good rest is what we need. We can go over what to do next after we've rested. Or what do you guys think?" Jason asked, and I nodded,
