Chapter 9 - Confrontation
I tensed. I felt my knees weaken. Why is he here? Did Xander invite him?
I felt Xander squeezed my waist. I looked at him and he was smiling. As if he understands what I'm thinking. He then got closer to me and whispered in my ear.
"Hey relax. Focus on me." He said. I felt his warm breath in my neck. It gave me chills.
I nodded and smiled.
I took my eyes away from him and just followed Xander as he guided me to our seat. Everyone was so happy and greeted us.
Xander introduced me to his family as well as to his friends and business partners. Xander is the eldest son of the Remington. His family owned the largest convenience store chain worldwide named Remington's and various restaurants in the country.
