“I have something for you,” Cole said and went to bring out a package from his backpack.

“What is it?” Isabelle asked as she tried to sit up, still feeling a little weak.

“New joggers with a winter jacket. And a hat.” He smiled and threw her a sheepish smile. “I promise we will go shopping when we get to my ranch.”

“What do I need new clothes for?” She asked shyly as he came to kneel in front of her and cupped her beautiful face with his large hands.

“I want to take you out on a proper date, wouldn’t you like that?”

“I will love to go on a date, I have always wondered what that feels like,” she replied in a soft, sultry voice.

“Good. I will very much enjoy letting you have that experience with me. And it’s going to be a first of many.”

Isabelle grinned. He chuckled.

“I love it when you smile at me like that.”

“How?” she asked as he drew her close for a playful kiss

“Like I am your world,” he rasped deepening the kiss. His ears pricked. He sighed “Our time is up,” he whispered

    “Oh, hell, no! Not on my watch!” Cole muttered and ran to the open space, ignoring the fact that he was left defenceless, trusting Jason and Ash to cover him. Isabelle gaped at him, watching as he opened fire on the guards by the doorway. Isabelle watched in frozen horror as two bullets hit him on the chest, and another on the shoulder, Cole only grunted hard but pressed forward.     Angel let go of the man and offered him the water. He snatched the bottle and gulped down the water, then he eyed Angel before he took the steak and gorged it down his throat.     Cole signalled to Ash to wait with his team, beckoned Jason, mind linked with Isabelle to follow him then asked Xavier to mind link with Hallec, Darrow, Wulfrun, Opaline, and Tiana to come with them.
