I was still mute looking at anywhere but him. He said a few words before hanging up and putting the phone in his pocket.
"I have to go somewhere right now." He said with a shrug and I rolled my eyes.
"Like I care. You've done enough damage already." I muttered rubbing my hands together.
"See you later." He cooed before brushing past me. I followed right behind him wanting to get away from his space. He walked too fast and soon, he was going out through the eastern door which students rarely used except during sports hours.
I was stranded at the hallway, not knowing if I should head to the cafeteria or just retire to class.
All of a sudden, I walked into someone but luckily our bodies did
"Let's play truth or dare." A rough voice said and I drifted my gaze from my phone to Ace whom was swinging a bottle of bear in his hand. He sounded drunk but his face didn't correspond."Wow, I'm in!" Sherry said excitedly while I put my phone in my pocket.Angelo, one of Keiran's friends provided a bottle and dropped it at the center of the circle. He spun it first and it landed between two folks. The rule of the game was — either do the truth/dare or drink a full glass of whiskey.I watched the game go on and for the first time, the bottle stopped between me and Ace.I raised my head to find everyone staring at me. Ace cleared his throat and drew close."Umbrie, truth or dare?" He growled lowly and I smiled."Dare.""Hmm." He smirked with a chuckle. "I dare you to kiss Scott."I grinned as my gaze drifte
I hurried over to where he was and before I could reach him, he turned around and our gaze locked.I stopped walking and folded my arms."Why did you call him here? Why did you tell him all that?" I asked perturbed and he gave a cunning smile."Why do you sound so pissed? I'm just telling him so he won't be worried about you. You know how much he cares about you." He was all smug and I didn't believe that that was his reason for speaking to Jared.I walked around the room in a panic exit but suddenly i reached for my pockets."Where's my phone?" I queried stepping closer to him.He smirked and tilted his head."I'll hand it to you after you have breakfast with me." He replied and I scoffed. He is completely out of his mind.I need to leave this place. Especially with Jared on the way. Things can't go down like this.&nb
Jared was taking harsh breaths with his fists clenched. Something's not right. Jared is a warrior training at the pack house with the other eligible werewolves. How come he was completely at Keiran's mercy? My gaze drifted from him to Keiran whom just said the dumbest thing I've ever heard. That gets should be gentle with me? Sometimes I don't understand what Keiran is after. He hurts me a lot but at the same time, he acts like a caring freak. His mom once mentioned something about him being a psycho. Maybe this is just how he is. Abnormal in his own way."Don't you ever!" Jared barked and threw an unexpected punch on Keiran's face making him bed his head the other side.My brother pounced on him hitting him with his cruel fists. They both fall on the ground and Keiran remained helpless as Jared beat him up. It was like he didn't care and he doesn't even try to fight back.I stood
Umbrie's pov.I held onto the door knob, carefully eased it before going into the house. I kicked my shoes off my legs before proceeding towards the living room."Umbrie! You're home." Mom said excitedly while holding a couple of plates in her hands. I nodded my head slowly and walked over taking the plates from her."Yes, you're so loud." I chuckled moving with her to the dining table."How was your talk with Alpha Damien?" Dad asked immediately i sat next to Sky.I smiled. "It was pretty good. No problem at all."Jared was also at the table and he had a good face. And by good, I mean he looked happy and easygoing. He should really adopt this look. The dinner was heated as well started eating the sumptuous meal mom prepared. It was lively, hell, Jared even laughed the loudest. Sky kept making jokes about when he comes
I was still up, unable to give in to sleep. Though it has been a shiitty day, I still couldn't end it once and for all. I had a warm bath so it'd make me feel more compelled to sleep but it didn't work, apparently. I found myself walking to Sky's room aware that everyone must be in their room right now. I stood by the door and eavesdropped on the voices behind it. It was that of Keiran and Sky. It sounded like they were playing video games with the comments they were making. I stood there for about five minutes, leaning on the door and just letting time pass by. It was at that point that the door drastically opened and I almost fell over if not for someone grabbing me by my wrist. I quickly stood erect to see Keiran staring at me. "What the... What are you doing here?" He asked looking stunned. I went ahead to enter the room and he shut the door behind us.
I spoke to Hillary but he wasn't of any help. He didn't know why Keiran left too and he's planning to go see him in his house.Daphne was the first to speak after Hillary had left."What's going on, Umbrie? What do you have with this Keiran guy? So far I've heard about him, he has been away for six months. What are you going to do now?" She asked sounding worried."I will tell you everything later. Let's just...let's just get to class." I gulped walking past her.She was looking blown off but I was too down to pay attention to her.Keiran is behaving strange, I must admit and I need to find out why...After a tough day at school, I decided to visit him before going to study class. Unfortunately, I left without Daphne knowing and I switched off my phone to prevent her calls too.I just had to handle this alone. She's a human and she can't be involved in every part of my life, yet.
• Jared's POV •It was finally my turn and I entered the meeting room. The door automatically shut on its own and I saw the old lady sitting opposite the wooden carved table. She had her back against me but I was able to notice her grey hair which was more shinier than it was before."You wolverine. I haven't seen one since today." She said, her voice strong like that of a young woman. She must be using a spell because someone her age should be dead by now.I coyly paced around before taking a seat on a bench. The whole place was heavily decorated with native ornaments like during ancient times."What do you know about me, mother?" I asked fixating my eyes at her back."I know this is not the real reason you are here but anyway... I know you are yet to be blessed by the moon goddess and it infuriates you." She replied and chuckled slightly. She
"Keiran, where were you?" I asked with my arms folded. He sighed and stepped away from the window."I just wanted some time alone. Don't you ever feel like being alone once in a while?""Don't reply me with questions, Keiran. You have been behaving strange since you returned. Is that really you, Keiran? You can't even tell me where you were for the past six months?..." I paused when I realized this conversation was going nowhere. He is like a fat rock that won't budge.I took a deep breath as he remained mute.I know what to do...Leaving his room, I slammed the door so hard.I found myself heading to the club where he normally spends time drinking with his friends. As I entered the unfriendly place, I could see girls doing a poll dance and some guys smoking around.I approached the two sitting at a table. It was Hi
