Chapter 6

Hazel's POV

Pain.

As soon as I try to open my eyes, those are the words that immediately come into my mind.

I groan as I open my eyes slowly. I could feel the skin on my forehead throbbing. I touch my head slowly, and groan in pain as I feel the small bandage that is plastered on my forehead.

“Ouch-” I hissed in pain.

I sigh as I remembered how I fell down last night. One of the guys that were busy hitting each other's faces last night bumped on my back as I was standing in the middle of the scene.

I really should take note of this matter. This would be the last time that I would ever do what I did last night.

I mean where did I even get the courage to do that? Being in the crowd still has that effect on me, and I wonder what possessed me to even think that I could go through all the way by passing that crazy crowd that were punching the hell out of each other.

Standing in the middle of a fighting gang? Yeah, genius. How the hell did the fight last night start again?

Oh my god. Only then I finally remembered the most crucial part other than bumping into one of the guys. My eyes went wide as I now could remember the details of last night's incident very clearly.

The frat house party, the fight-

and Jordan.

I immediately try to get up from the bed, trying to sit down, and groan in pain again. Ugh!

I take a deep breath as I scan the room I am currently in. Where am I?? And most importantly, what the fuck happened last night?

No one died right??

I was startled as the door suddenly swung open, and let out a sigh of relief as I saw Kat come behind those doors with a glass of water in her hand.

"Huh, thank god! We nearly brought you to the ER for fuck sakes.."

The hospital? Aunt Mary would totally freak out if she found out I am at the ER. No thanks, Kat.

"Did you bring me to the hospital last night? Please tell me that you don't-"

"Relax.." Kat assures me, chuckling softly.

"We didn't, okay? But Jordan insisted on calling a doctor for you.. can't really blame him, you're literally passed out-” Kat sighs, as she scans my forehead.

“And bleeding.” She added.

“Nah, just a scratch. I'll live..” I joked at her, laughing.

“Fuck yes. Can't really have you died at your first campus's party, right?” She also laughs.

“But seriously, are you really okay?” Kat looks at me, worried.

"Yeah, I'm fine, Kat. Look-” I replied, as I stretched out my hands, turning my head left and right for her to see that I'm really okay.

“Okay, Okay, got it! Geez-” Kat shakes her head, as she stops me before I do Yoga right in front of her.

“Nothing to worry though, I was already not feeling well even before those guys came last night.." I replied, remembering how I throwed up on Jordan's shoes.

The booze, and plus the 'topic' that Keira and Keisha argued with last night is also one of the reasons why I blacked out.

And yeah, I fell down quite hard to the ground, figured.

"You should've seen Jordan's face last night.. he's worried sick-"

He did?

"Which- was by the way a very 'rare sight' as I never knew that he could do that.." Keira adds, laughing.

"What happened??" I blurted out as Kat took a seat beside the bed.

"Where's Keisha and Keira??"

"Keisha had a class, and Keira is still sleeping-" Kat handed me the glass of water, as I looked at her, confused.

"Drink this first.."

"Where am I?" I asked, as I took the glass, taking a sip of the water.

"The frat house.."

"What???" I nearly spilled the water that I just drank on Kat's face.

I slept here?? What the actual fuck?

"What-"

"This is Jordan's room-" Kat cut me off.

"And don't worry, this is not that typical teens movie where you're too drunk to even remember that you slept with the bad boy, and woke up in his bed.." She finished.

"What happened last night? The fight?"

"As soon as you lost consciousness, the police came.. they broke the fight, and since no one died, they just concluded it as the usual drunk-fight between the students.."

"Thank god.." I let out a sigh of relief.

But still, wouldn't it be better if the police locked up all those guys that crashed the party last night?

“Here, your clothes. Get change.” She said, handing me the paper bag.

I open the paper bag and see a set of my pink underwear, black tight jeans, and a simple dark gray hoodie inside. She must've gone to our dorm to pick this up this morning.

“Thanks, Kat!” I yell as she walks towards the door.

“Uh-uh. Don't thank me.” She said without even looking back. I could still hear her giggles as she closed the door.

What was that supposed to mean?

*****************

Without even wasting any more minutes inside Jordan's room, as I did wonder where the hell did he sleep last night if his room was occupied by unwanted guests i.e me, I walk down the stairs in a hurry as I hear people talking downstairs. But I know those two voices; Keira's and Kat's.

“Oh, there she is, our sleeping beauty.” Roman, who was sitting on the couch, said as he saw me.

A sleeping beauty? Totally not me.

I just roll my eyes at him, not really interested to talk with him as he is currently with Cole, who is by the way been staring at me with a look that I can't figure out.

“The one Jordan talked about?” He asked, with his eyes still on me, and clearly that question is not for me.

Oh, Hello? I'm right here. Standing, breathing, and obviously could hear you!

“Yup. Hazel. The one, and only.” Kat replied.

“Ugh. Stop it.” I groaned. At this rate, I don't even want to know what the hell Jordan told them.

“Are you feeling okay?” Keira asks, as I walk towards them, ignoring the fact that I've been successfully being labeled as someone whose ‘Jordan has talked about, the one and only, Hazel.’

Screw him for all I care.

Kat gives me a glass of orange juice, as I join them to sit on the stool at the kitchen's counter.

“I'm okay.. just a scratch.” I said to Keira, gulping down a little bit of the orange juice.

“You really scared the hell out of me..” Keira said, as she let out a relief sigh.

“Sorry..” I took her hand on mine, as she scanned me, looking at the small plaster on my forehead.

“Let's pray that it doesn't leave a scar on your pretty face.” She replied, chuckling. I just snort at her. Getting a little scar on my forehead is not really a main concern for me.

“Thanks again for the clothes, Kat.” I said, looking at Kat. I literally just knew her, and I already had caused so much trouble for her.

It must be difficult for her to drive back and forth from college back to this frat house in order to bring my clothes.

“As I said before, don't thank me dear.. it's Jordan you should really be grateful for.”

What?

“Jordan? You mean he-” I can't even manage to finish my line.

If he was the one who brought back my clothes from the dorm, that means that that matching underwear of mine, the one who chose it, all of it was Jordan??

As if knowing what is playing inside my mind, Kat burst out laughing a little.

“Relax.. it's not like he hasn't seen any of your underwear-drobe anyway.” She said, whispering at me.

“Ugh.. Kat..” I groaned. Keira just watches the two of us in bewilderment, not really knowing what the hell we just talked about.

Kat giggles, as Cole glances at me for a second, and turn his head back towards the TV as I look back at him.

What is wrong with him?

“So, shall we?” I said, as I looked at them both.

Let's get the hell out of this place before all the horny frat house's boys wake up. Both Keira and Kat look at me, confused.

“Get back to the dorm?” Unsure, I asked.

“Oh-” Keira replied, as she gets what I really meant.

“I don't really have classes today, so I'm going to hang out here.” Kat replied. Of course she is.

I just nodded at Kat, and turned my head to look at Keira.

“Roman promised to take me out for breakfast before we go back to college, wanna join?” Keira looked at me.

“Yeah, the more, the merrier..” Roman suddenly replied, inviting me to go with them with a smile on his face. Cole just sits there, focusing on the TV.

“We could have him send us back to the dorm after that as he will also go to the same destination.” She added, teasing Roman.

As much as Keira hated the idea of staying in the dorm, Roman also has the same feeling as her. But that's the rule. Each first year student needs to stay in the college dorm, and could only decide where the hell we want to stay other than dorm when we become a second-year student.

But I would just be a nuisance if I go with them. Keira definitely likes Roman. This whole breakfast-drama is maybe just an excuse for a 'date'. Just as I wanted to decline them, someone cut me off.

“She's going with me, I'm going to send her back.” Someone who suddenly joined our conversation suddenly said.

I turn my head to look at that familiar figure.

Oh, great.
