Evelyn’s POV

“Just tell me, what the hell are you hiding from me?” Louis’s voice was sharp, almost trembling with tension as he took a step closer.

I instinctively moved backward. My heart pounded wildly in my chest, but before he could close the distance between us, the sudden blare of his ringtone shattered the silence. It was his phone.

He patted down his pockets urgently, then pulled it out and answered. “Yeah. Another day? Alright. I’ll be there.” His eyes flicked to me for a second. “Except… I’m worried he’s going to bring up that letter.”

And just like that, he left. Left me standing there, in pieces.

But I had other plans. I couldn’t let this moment slip. I rushed to the bathroom, my mind spinning. The door clicked shut behind me. My hands trembled as I pulled out the phone I’d hidden. Only one number was saved, his. Only him.

I dialed.

One ring.

He picked up.

“I’ve been waiting for your call,” he said, his voice smooth and haunting through the line.

My breath caught. My knees

  • My Wife, My Blackmailer    Woke Up Drenched in Blood

Evelyn’s POVI shoved Louis aside, harder than I intended, but I didn’t care. I couldn’t breathe in that damn storage room. I burst out of the room like I was running from hell itself. My footsteps echoed off the marble floor of the hallway. I had no idea where I was going. I just wanted out.As I rounded the corner, one of the employees looked up from her clipboard and spotted me. Her brows furrowed in confusion, curiosity brimming in her eyes.“Oh! You’re coming from the storage room, right? Were you looking for something?” she asked with a polite smile.I fumbled to type something on my iPad. I wanted to tell her. To yell it in bold letters on the screen: I’m his wife. The real one. The one he hides. The one he keeps in the shadows while he parades that woman, Erica, around like she’s royalty. But before I could finish typing, she chuckled and said, “You know, it’s really cute how the boss acts around his wife. He’s always so sweet to Erica, flowers, kisses, little whispers in the

  • My Wife, My Blackmailer    You're Hurting Me

Evelyn’s POV“Evelyn!”The voice pierced through my haze, sharp and sudden like cold water on bare skin. I blinked, squinting toward the source. For a second, I hoped it was him. But it wasn't. It was Samuel. What the heck was he doing here? After that night I haven't reached him again. He stood there, his eyes swimming in worry and confusion. “I’ve been trying to reach you,” he said, his voice softer now. “Since that night, nothing. No replies, no texts. Did I… do something wrong? Was it because of what happened between us?”His words tangled in the air, and I felt the weight of guilt rise like bile in my throat. I had done that because I was overwhelmed. “Didn’t you enjoy it?” he asked, quieter this time, almost afraid of the answer. “Was I too rough? Did I hurt you?”I wanted to say no. I wanted to scream that it wasn’t him, it was me. All of this. My life. My lies. My crumbling walls. But instead, I typed out a message with trembling fingers and shoved it in front of him.“I enjo

  • My Wife, My Blackmailer    The Plan

Eveyeln’s POVThe second the door clicked shut behind them, silence settled over the room like a heavy fog. I stood frozen for a moment, heart pounding so loud it echoed in my ears. My hand moved instinctively to the phone, the one I had been hiding, the one that held everything. Every lie. Every message. Every secret. The weapon I used to blackmail him.My stomach twisted. I should’ve thrown it away days ago. I should've hidden it. But I didn't.He could find out at any moment. If he got curious, if he traced anything, even a simple slip, it’d be over for me.Why am I like this? Why does the thought of hurting him make my chest feel like it’s caving in? I keep telling myself I’m not in love with him. That I can’t be. That what I feel is guilt, not affection. That this is survival, not softness. But then, he looks at me like I’m worth something. Like he sees me. No one ever has. Not my parents. Not my sister. Not anyone. Is this what love is supposed to feel like?I don’t even know. I

  • My Wife, My Blackmailer    Be Careful With Your Wife

Louis’s POVI had been waiting. Waiting for the next call from the faceless voice who held the puppet strings of this nightmare. The blackmailer. The kidnapper. Whoever the hell they were, they had drawn me into their game, and now I was playing by their rules. But not for long.“I’m going to find you,” I muttered, the last words I’d spat before the line went dead. “And when I do, I’ll break you into pieces.”My fists clenched at my sides, jaw tight with rage. Every night at exactly 9 p.m., the calls came like clockwork. It was deliberate. Calculated. They were trying to get in my head. And maybe they had, but I wasn’t going to let them win.Dave stood beside me in the silence that followed, tension rippling off his frame. “They’re being careful,” I said, eyes fixed on the dead screen. “They know we’re watching. But I’ve noticed the pattern, same time, every night.”His eyes searched mine. “What now, boss? What’s the next move?”I turned slowly, the gravity of the situation pressing o

  • My Wife, My Blackmailer    I’ll Break You into Pieces

Evelyn’s POVI stepped into the house like a ghost returning from war, my legs aching, my mind fractured, and my heart... well, that thing barely beat anymore. I closed the door behind me, hoping for just a sliver of silence. Just one night without the poison. But of course, she was waiting, like a shadow glued to my misery.Erica stood at the foot of the staircase, arms crossed, chin raised like a queen judging a traitor. Her lips curled with contempt. “Where did you go, bitch?”Her voice pierced through me like a cold knife. So sharp. So familiar.I didn’t answer. I didn’t even look at her. Just kept walking, one heavy step at a time, like if I didn’t feed her attention, maybe she'd vanish. But Erica was never one to vanish.“You bitch. I know you can talk,” she sneered, stepping into my path. “And I’m going to figure it out. You think you're smart? When I expose you, your little act, your precious Louis, everyone will see what a lying, manipulative coward you are.”My body stiffene

  • My Wife, My Blackmailer    The Bullet

Louis' POVMy eyes blinked open slowly. A dull ache throbbed behind them as the soft morning light filtered through the curtains. My chest felt heavy. And then I saw her, Erica. Her body pressed lazily against mine, her hair a tangled mess splayed across my chest, lips parted slightly as she snored lightly. A wave of revulsion churned in my stomach.I shoved her off me.She groaned, rolling away like a drunken cat, unfazed. God, she looked so pathetic. And yet, she thought she mattered to me. Erica had no clue. She was just a body, a warm body I used to silence my demons. But she wasn’t my wife. Not even close. My wife had elegance, restraint, fire. Erica was all noise and glitter.Every time we slept together, I used protection. Every. Single. Time. Because there was no way in hell I’d let someone like Erica carry my child. She thought the world revolved around her whims. Spoiled. Loud. Desperate. Nothing like my wife. My wife had this aura, this mystery. Even now, I couldn’t figure

  • My Wife, My Blackmailer    The Silence Between Us

Evelyn's POVHis words wouldn’t stop echoing in my head."Stay with me" Just that. After everything. It lingered, a whisper carved into my mind, not because it was kind, but because it was so cruelly insufficient. Like a shank dipped in honey. All I could think was, Don't leave me? Really? That was all he had to say to me after treating me like nothing since the day we married?I sat at the corner of the hospital room, my hands clenched into fists on my lap. My gaze was locked on the floor tiles, but my thoughts were spiraling. He never once tried to know me. He never learned how to communicate with me. Never cared to try. Not once did he bother with sign language. Not once did he even try to see me beyond my silence.Yes, our marriage was arranged, and yes, I was pretending to be mute. But somewhere along the line, I fell for him. I fell hard. And that was my biggest mistake, expecting love from a man who never even looked at me, not really. He despised me. I know he did.I don't eve

  • My Wife, My Blackmailer    The Voice

Louis' POVA slow beep echoed in the room, rhythmic and soft, like a lullaby for the broken. My eyelids fought against the light, but I forced them open.White ceiling. Drips. The antiseptic chill of the hospital. The sting of the IV pierced into my hand like a reminder. I was still alive. Somehow. My breath was shaky, uneven. Everything felt distant, like I was caught between a dream and something I hadn’t made sense of yet. My gaze shifted, and there she was, sitting quietly beside my bed.Her head leaned gently against the wall, eyes closed, lashes casting shadows over her cheeks. One hand was curled in her lap, the other lazily brushing a strand of hair away from her face. My wife. My quiet, beautiful wife. The one who never spoke. But then—That voice. The memory came crashing back like a wave against a fragile shore. I could still hear it, soft but desperate. Pleading. "Please, save him. Don’t let him die." The voice echoed through my skull like it had been etched into my bones
