I Need Time

Arabella's POV

I tidied up my room a bit before going downstairs. Looking at the clock in the center of the house, it wasn't lunchtime yet. I woke up earlier than usual, probably because of the influence of the things I wanted to do today.

"Good morning, Miss." Emi, who was cleaning the house, greeted me politely when I came downstairs. She already looked tired with the vacuum cleaner in her hand, but the middle-aged woman's smile was warm.

I greeted her back with the same smile. "Morning, too, Emi. Can I ask you to make breakfast for me?"

Emi nodded, swiftly leaning over the vacuum cleaner and wiping her sweat with the handkerchief tucked into her skirt pocket. "Of course, I'll prepare it for Miss."

I walked towards the dining room first. From behind, I could hear Emi's steps following me. Before long, the middle-aged woman stepped faster in order to arrive at the pantry first and prepared with unworn gloves and a mouth gag. "What would Miss Arabella like for breakfast?"
