For the next ten minutes, I knelt there and did nothing. I didn’t even move, and the tears had even stopped. I was just blank, clueless and drained.

I finally stood up and I almost fell. I had been too long on my knees that blood had stopped circulating there. I staggered backwards to the wall and stayed a couple of minutes there before I finally got myself back. I hopped in my car and then drove off.

I wasn’t even dressed for work and had only a casual wear on but I didn’t want to go back home so I drove to the office.

“Good morning, sir.” Linda said as she quickly rose to her feet when she saw me.

She tried to force a smile to mask the shock on her face but I could read her expression. I’ve never been to the office, this disorganized so I understand her surprise.

“Morning, Linda.” I simply said and went into my office.

In about a minute, the door opened and it was Linda. She came straight to my desk, stared at me for a long second before she opened her mouth.
